I have nothing against Jack Irons as a drummer, but he's so ahead of the beat most of the time it's absurd. Dave A. and Matt C. both come from the Bonham school in that regard. Always behind the beat always in the pocket. Doesn't matter how fuckin' flashy or minimal you are, it's all about pocket.

Jack I., and Matt C., while not as flashy, are both better musicians than Dave. But Dave was really cool. He smiled too much for what Eddie and PJ were all about back then. I would live to see some sort of reconciliation, though. Dave A, showing up at a new show would be huge.

I may sound really retarded, But i was never really fond of Dave A. cause the fact that he rode on someone else's success, that being Dave K. I thought Abbruseese was an alright drummer but Krusen was the better drummer & deserved the recognition. but at the same time, Dave A. just did what he did best & was a perfect example of the RIGHT person at the RIGHT time.....
