You know next to nothing about all the witnesses and the number of incidents that were witnessed- yet despite your extraordinary ignorance you feel you can come to a definitive conclusion regarding this case. Maybe she was consciously faking the voice. Even if she was, far too much happened in that house and was seen for it all to be a hoax.

@kernowfem I don't think he "lost his head". Some people mistook the compassion he showed the family as losing his head. There were also charges that he lost his objectivity because of what happened to his daughter. I disagree. He was a fine researcher. And the work he and Playfair did at Enfield is exceptional.

I saw the documentary on it on channel 4 last night. Amazing. Not quite sure if it was real or the 11 year old girl, Janet doing it all her herself as a prank but still absolutely fascinating.
