  • understanding the bible is irrelevant, it was written and rewritten and rewritten and REWRITTEN hundreds of years after the life of Jesus buy many different people. How this 2,000 year old book still has a grip on people baffles me

  • @JuiceBoxheero Yeah, I know - it will baffle you forever, I'm afraid - the Bible even says so. LOL

  • @Afrikitty

Oh and before I take my leave:

"Why is the bible taken seriously? It's a 2000 year old game of telephone!"

"You just aren't meant to get it"

    is just like saying:

"Why do we follow this map? It's 500 years old, everything on the map doesn't even exist anymore, and none of the roads are right!"

"You just aren't meant to get it"

Why can't you take example from people like @blammoheadshot ? Even as an atheist, they seem to understand that insulting people who don't believe...

  • @1032974b What a tolerant person you are! Great stuff!

  • in what you believe will get you absolutely nowhere. I mean look at your comments. Have you ever gotten a "hmm, you know? you're absolutely right, I have been following the wrong thing".

    10 bucks says nope.

  • @1032974b You owe me $10!

  • believers please i understand we might gloat at getting our points across its in a sinful nature to do so but i beg of you don't for how can the lost be saved if we present such arrogant speech and attitude i say rather we should give them the word we are in the life and death business here we either bring them to god or push them away and we WILL give account of ALL our actions here on earth....would Jesus present himself in such a way, i think not so lets strive to be more like him :)

  • Why are there so many different Religions?

  • As an ex-Christian I can honestly say that it was people like you that drove me away. I have never really been one for debating or arguing in any sense, but people that are so arrogant and so one-minded, regardless of religion, just flip that switch for me. I see that you've set your comments to pending approval and by looking at your excepted comments you only pick comments that you agree with or can easily argue(so some of mine won't be posted). And you say atheists cherry pick. Hypocrite.

  • @1032974b No, actually, GOD flipped that switch for you. If your name was not written in the book of life BEFORE the foundation of the world, then you will never come to Christ. You will continually blame people like me for your inadequacies and your total inability to come to a knowledge of the truth.

That's your cookie, and it is crumbling. Sorry about that, china!

  • @Afrikitty

Muslims will GLADLY tell you about your inadequacies and your total inability to come to a knowledge of the truth.

    As will Jews

As will Every other sect of christianity (as much as you like to say they're not in the "People Jesus Loves" list)

As will almost any other religion on the planet.

As you have shown me in your responses, your best comeback will be "nuh-uh, my book is right, my views on the book are right, you're a poopy-head."

Everyone else will do the same.

  • @1032974b You're trying really hard to guess what I'll say. Guess again, Chump!

  • @afrikitty

Don't have me waiting for a year for your compelling and convincing arguement this time. My cookies are waiting to be 'crumbled' again.

  • @1032974b I'm sure you are, but they have been well and truly crumbled now and I am bored. You are blocked. (*_*)

  • Erudition seems to be irrelevant also, because who can assume that a person who has spent their entire life studying the bible as a Mormon knows less than the devout Baptist? What separates your views of privileged understanding where you have to have Jesus tell you that everything is a-ok and you aren't going to burn in a pit of fire for all eternity before you understand why we shouldn't eat shellfish and the the guy who thinks that because he was born a Jew, he's God's best baby? (cont.)

  • @1032974b

    I am a Calvinist!

    Calvinism is Christianity!

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

  • What I don't get is that if all Christians have an understanding of the bible that atheists or a follower of any other any other religion just can't grasp, why are there still so many denominations of Christianity that have COMPLETELY different interpretations of the bible? Can you say the views Protestant Calvinism are objectively right as opposed to Catholicism. (Cont. in next comment)

  • @1032974b Yes, I can...

Roman Catholicism is the WHORE of Revelation.

    Calvinism is Christianity!

  • Im glad other people understand this. I was beginning to think I was on my own.

  • Wow the only thing I don't understand as an atheist is how your hair is purple and not brown... I just imagine that having your head that far up your own ass would make your hair at least a few shades darker.

  • @austinm62 It's called "computerpurple" and is a phenomenon in some computers.

    My hair is RED!

  • I read the whole bible. All 66 books. And I can clearly say that it is YOU guys who quote out of context.

  • @killjester666 I don't remember saying anything about anybody being "out of context" in this video.

When you guys come along and say things like you just said, you CLEARLY show me how BLIND you really are. The Bible says you are blind and it shows - sorry to be such a stick-in-the-mud, but that is the way the cookie crumbles for you who have scales plastered over your eyes.

Go and read Romans Chapter 1 - you wil see a very accurate description of yourself - or maybe you won't. What a pity.

  • @Afrikitty

    Romans 1?

Is that the one where Paul cries over other people getting more sex than him?

The one that contains slanderous accusations at people just because they haven't been convinced that a god exists and then goes onto wish death upon them?

    Nice choice.

  • Look at the low rates here, comes to show you what this nation is coming to, a bunch of queers, atheist etc. No wonder this nation is in a shit load of messes, because of unbelievers. Dumbasses.

  • @PastorPunisher Yeah because christians have the moth amount of scientists? No atheist created the atomic bomb that ended WW2, plus christian nazi scientists. You are going to aleinate people just because they have same sex relations? That's retarded and only shows your religions intollerance because you tolerate it when your pastor touched you, peace out!

  • @tony38727 Actually, The Manhattan Project was encouraged by Albert Einstein who wanted to use the power of "fission" (not the same as fusion) to make Atomic Bombs - Fat Boy (the Trinity test), "Little Boy" over Nagasaki and "Fat Man" over Hiroshima.

Albert Einstein was a "pacifist" which notion he abandoned to enable him to be involved in the Manhattan Project. "Fat Man" killed +- 50,000 people in Nagasaki, and "Little Boy" annihilated 66,000 people in Hiroshima.

    Einstein was NOT a Christian!

  • @Afrikitty Einstein was not involved in the Manhattan Project. He signed a letter written largely by Leó Szilárd, warning Roosevelt that the Nazis were conducting their own research into atomic weapons. Einstein feared atomic weapons, but he feared Nazi atomic weapons even more.

  • @Afrikitty

Well, that's about the only thing i've heard you state that is actually true

  • @sonykroket Akshully, EVERYTHING I have stated here is actually true, baby! lol

  • ...Ever notice how Christian videos check their comments, but Atheist videos are just "whatever man, it's a free country"? To me, it all boils down to free speech versus censorship. Both are good, but they can't be used together.

  • @demonjacobs666 Hey YOU - so you think America is a "free" country?

Tell me kid, when last did you look around you?

You think you can shake your tiny fist of dust in the Face of the God of the BIBLE? REALLY? Listen to what THIS GOD has to say to you about yourself.

"the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead." (Ecclesiastes 9:3)

I take it you DO BELIEVE that you are one of the sons of men....No?

  • @arp76 Ummmm - Did you ever study any kind of history in school? ANYTHING???

    Naaa, didn't think so!

You should keep your trap shut, because it gives you away by showing your abject IGNORANCE, chump!

Do you need a dictionary to look up any words I have written here?

  • Comment removed

  • @arp76 Ooooooooooo, YOU'VE actually got degrees in something? WhaaaoW - Neat.

    I would never have guessed.

You too need to keep your ignorant trap shut, because when you open it, a bunch of junk falls out. You need to learn that very important trick - yes, keep that trap shut. It's making you look stupid.

Go get a degree in history, then come and talk to me again. OK

  • @arp76 Bill Reilly's bi-atch huh?

No, actually, Bill Reilly is an arrogant, deceived Roman Catholic.

I, on the other hand, and a SOLID Protestant, supralasarian CALVINIST. And don't you ever forget it!

  • @arp76 You're blocked, chump!

  • @arp76 Aaahahahahaha, you flaming coward - you removed your comments. LMAO

Serves you right you under-educated chump!

Don't mess with a Protestant Calvinist again - OK.

Erudition is the Calvinist condition, Sir!

Go look up that word ina decent dictionary, like the Noah Webster's 1812 version. You might just learn sumpting.

  • Aha. Ignorant christians.

  • @Alibanini Aha. Blind atheists.

There are no atheists in hell, my dear.

  • ...And yet in a poll regarding basic religious knowledge conducted by the New York Times, the group that scored the highest was... You guessed it - Atheists! Even the Jewish and Mormons polled higher than the highest Christian denomination (evangelical protestants)...

Perhaps we could make a YouTube sequel and call it "Read the New York Times - Christians don't understand religion!" ??

  • @ferrett78 Hey kiddo,

Here's a word from the God you deny so readily. let HIM tell you why the Christians are dimishing in once God favoured America.

"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:" (Amos 8:11)

And when this happens, then we will see what the atheist is really made of as they go about butchering and murdering what's left of the Remnant of God.

  • i agree, i cannot understand the bible..

I really cant understand why the creator of the universe couldnt find a better way to saulve that some childrens were bullying a bald prophet for having no hair than to summon two bears to maul them to peices..

    Can a Christian pls explain?

i can come up with thousands of more things he could do to make them stop, especially since he can do anything.

  • @JollSSteR Did you finish high school, MacNutz?

You don't like the truth - the Bible says that fools like you actually SUPPRESS THE TRUTH - Romans 1:18. God has given you all the evidence you need to see and witness His creation, but you kick creation out of your schools and prayer, then you want to bawl your eyes out because the kids start killing each other. And for a few days after that, you're all being holy and pious in the various churches around the country.

    You flaming HYPOCRITE!!!

  • Nice ratings on this vid.

    LMFAO!

  • @4me2cclearly Yep, and I hope they get worse.

It tells me what Godless people of your ilk are really like! Intolerant and hypocritical - just like you accuse the Christians of being.

    LMFAO!!

  • The Bible allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 and Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9) Corinthians 11:7 - 9 just to name a few.

The Old Testament is no longer in effect some might say. Perhaps they should read where Jesus makes it clear: "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)

  • @4me2cclearly Awwwwwwwwwww dearie, your liddle comment was flagged as spam. Shame.

Afrikitty is so very sorry that she can't answer it. If somebody thought you were stupid enough with what you said to spam it - TRUST ME, I will always agree with that person.

    ta ta now.

  • The ratings says it all. What a load of shit!

  • @4me2cclearly So, you can't make up your own mind hey. Well, that is pretty typical of todays frontal lobotomied kids. They can't think for themselves, so they look at a rating and just nod their heads.

It's called "The dumbing down of America", chump.

I am not approving your comment because you used dirty language in it. I will just leave it there to remind myself what you potato-heads are all really about.

  • @4me2cclearly Yeah, you're right - the ratings DO say it all!!

  • Religious apologists can never win. Belief in something without sufficient evidence is non-logical. They always wind up having to try to convince rational minded people they must prove the nonexistence of god. Well, it's impossible to prove a negative, and the apologists know this. That's why in all logical systems it's up to the proponents of a theory to prove it true, not posit it and expect everyone else to prove it false.

  • Let Him Be Damned! ---> youtube.com/watch?v=zFNapjuUEjo

  • jerk

  • @mochiam Did you just call me a jerk, you little piss-cat?

  • @Afrikitty Hi Miss Kitty, don't pay these fudge packers no attention.

  • @PastorPunisher Oh my, I see you punish dumb atheists as well.

It's more fun with them, because THEY are so into their precious free speech, so, if so, I'm going to exercise my right to it too and slap them all upside their dumbed down 'eads!

Poor little crumpets - all of them. :-0

  • the bible is a book of lies, evil, homophobia, child molestion, genocide. it contradicts itself all over the place and science has proven it wrong more than enough times. Its just that you cant accept the fact that there is no god, no heaven, no hell, no afterlife, nothing. I do recognize that religion has helped people in the past, and still helps people today by giving them purpose, maybe, but its time for people to wake up and seek real answers. And you superstitious homophobic assholes shut up

  • @constantinos679 I see you have a penchant for "superstitious, homophobic ASSHOLES" - however I don't think you quite mean it when you say you want them to shut up! Sheeeeeesh! Liar!

  • Yea atheists dont understand. Its perfectly understandable that god would inspire a self contradicting book, and then expects the human race to still follow that book 2000 year later.

And its inconceivable that someone wouldnt prefer a certain old religious book over another and embrace that book as a guide of life!

Now im going to paint my hair purple and telepathically ask my master to forgive atheists for their wicked ways for they are lost sheep.

  • @DutchNordic Well, I'm sure your hair will look every bit as beautiful as mine did! lol

  • weak

  • @JasonMarzetti Oh yeah, but in Christ, I am strong!

  • I was an Atheist until I read the Bible. But I doubt I ever would have understood it if it were not the Lord who gave the understanding and happening accros people who had real understanding of the Word along the way. How arrogant I was and still am. .This is on of the best video of how one comes to understand God's Word I've ever heard and why some don't I've ever heard.

  • @MysticKevin10

Of course the religious are right! And all religions agree with each other, and tell each other that each is special and correct and thoroughly predictive in their powers. How close-minded of you to insist on self-consistency and falsifiability and agreement with what we can smell, touch, taste, hear and see!

  • Scientology says the same thing, you know why that is because you have to be conditioned to not find your belief revolting. I will actually take it one step further.

Name a single religion that does require you to suspend critical inquiry as a requirement for understanding it.

  • @SwordSworn147 Ummmmm, WHY on earth would you want to SUSPEND critical inquiry as a requirement for understanding what you believe?

Sounds rather stupid to me and Christianity does not ask you to do so either. RATHER, the Bible says: 'Come now, and let us reason together,"Says the LORD..." (Isaiah 1:18) Sounds as though God is COMMANDING us to reason together about the things He has made known to us through His word. That's not suspending critical inquiry!

  • Just making excuses...for their atitudes...that's funny.."We're not arrogant, you just think we are" LOL that's awesome. Christians cherry pick verses out of the bible. They've been doing it for centuries. Used it to justify slavery, genocide, rape and murder...you're killing me.

Basically what's being said is that we must be drooling idiots before we can "get" the bible. If we have any brain activity at all and capable of thinking then we are DOOMED!! Jesus doesn't like smart people.

  • @MrsJMohon Well, I am sorry you think it was "Christians" who committed all that crime. As far as I'm concerned they were lost - somewhat like you....

Unfortunately, the Bible does say in 1 Corinthians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 2:14 and 2 Corinthians 4:3 that the lost cannot understand it. It is veiled to you.

There is a way out if you would care to read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. But, *sigh* get it wrong and you would find yourself under the admonition of John 3:36. Maybe you just can't win, hey?

  • @Afrikitty Good answer. History shows much of the critical discoveries in Mathematics, Medicine, Physics and Chemistry were made by Christians not by those who believed in the humanism of the Enlightenment. But these scientists are somehow left out in the horror stories. I've never been asked to leave my brain at the door of the church or while reading the Word or while praying. God welcomes our questions and doubts because trusting Him to give us the answer shows real faith in Him.

  • @valleytownonly3 Of course, in a christian theocracy all scientists are christians. I am still waiting for a reasonable answer to the question; Why do innocent people have to suffer ?

  • @lizazoon Innocent people? There's no such "innocent people" - here's why:

"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Genesis 6:5)

"the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead." (Eclessiastes 9:3)

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9)

  • @valleytownonly3 What nonsense. Of course in a society dominated by christianity, most scientists are christians, just like in Moslem society most scientists are moslems. But the explosion of science has come when religion lost its grip on society.

  • @Afrikitty lol...of course the bible would have such a reconciliation for people that have half a brain and use it. Can't let common sense win the simple-minded folks over to the "darkside". I see the deer caught in the headlights stare in your eyes...it's a very common look among cult groups.

  • @MrsJMohon

I see the deer caught in the headlights stare in your eyes...it's a very common look among cult groups." (MrsJMohon)

Madam, for what is waiting for you, I would suggest you have another look in those poor little deer eyes. Listen to the words being spoken to you, because one day, you are going to have to stare into the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and you are going to wish for mountains and rocks to fall on you, dearie.

Watch out for that Mack Truck now, sweetheart!

  • @MrsJMohon

You are now blocked! You've had your say and I have reached my limit of listening to your "free speech"!

  • @MrsJMohon Of course. The fruit of knowledge is forbidden. Not a literal fruit, mind you. Just knowledge is forbidden by their god.

  • "I do not know whether or not the gods exist. But I am as sure as I can be that you do not know either."...Socrates

  • @ThePhantomBlacksmith Well, I'm so glad I'm not Socrates. Poor deluded man!

  • So in other words you have to believe it before you believe it so that you can believe it or god won't let you believe it.

Got it. Sounds like grade A idiocy to me.

  • @JetpackNinjaDinosaur Yep, and YOU are the one that said it - not me!!

  • @Afrikitty

Forgive me, are you agreeing with me or disagreeing with my claim.

  • @JetpackNinjaDinosaur

Don't you KNOW the answer to that one? tut, tut, tut,

I thought we were the dummies around here. Not so with you, mate.

  • @Afrikitty

Wow you're dense, i doubt you even remember my original question.

  • @JetpackNinjaDinosaur

Listen here Mr Dinosaur - see what happens to you when you play with too many toys. You don't understand that I actually had to read your tripe in order to ANSWER it.

Come on - don't act all dumb on me now. Your user name does have something to say about the condition of your mind though. "Empty vessels", the Bible calls you lot.

  • If we can't understand the bible, then it's how we're made, then god made us like that (like he hardened pharao's heart), then it's not our fault, then why are we condemned to hell ?

  • @Acrimonator hah exactly. People who make videos like this run behind the bible for evidence.

  • @Acrimonator Well now, that is JUST the way the cookie crumbles for you who come here with your sarcastic remarks. I'm sorry to tell you that if God did not predestine you to be saved, you are doomed - see the cookie crumble......

Now, on the other hand, God does also say that: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; AND HIM THAT COMMETH TO ME I WILL IN NO WISE CAST OUT!

You can see the GOSPEL plastered ALL over my channel page. If you want to be saved, to and read it!

    John 6:36-38

  • @Afrikitty

ooh i thought jesus died for everyone's sins. my bad.

  • @constantinos679

    Yep, YOUR bad indeed!

  • @Afrikitty God never said anything. No evidence whatsoever. Fantasy is cheap.

  • @lizazoon

You're right, fantasy IS cheap, or is that cheep, cheep?

The Bible has the answer to the question: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

    Did you know that?

That's the $64,000,000,000 question and you don't want to hear the answer???

    Crazy chump!

  • I agree with you, Atheists have no idea about God and the Bible but you will always find them trying to debate with you regardless. Then there are those who let go of their "lower animal nature" and abuse you - for no real reason, other than they don't understand it what you are saying. We live in a crazy upside down society where the majority think that good is evil and evil is good. It will probably be this way till the end of the world.

  • hhahahaahah , God , that is so funny , don't you think.

  • This video was so revealing to me, just what you said at the beginning, helped me to understand so much more...

And what i now understand, is the arrogance and the vast BRICK WALL of strawmen arguments which the LORD bestows upon people to fool their petty minds enough to actually believe their own self-created, impossible to prove wrong arguments. I now realize just how much of a phuck ing foolish human thoust are.

  • @kettleschip "STRAWMAN" = YouTube Atheist buzzword.

Yes, you are quite right, the LORD most certainly HAS bestowed on YOU a VERY strong delusion and He has successfully fooled your addled mind with junk and jargon, just like he said he would.

"For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” (1 Corinthians 1:19)

And I now realise what a phuck ing foolish human thoust art too, mon ami. :-)

    Toodle-oot now

  • I don't find the word of God offensive at all.

I do wish he'd found better writers though.

What I find offensive, kitty, is your assumptions that we consider it a book of fairy tales.

Last time I checked, The Ugly Duckling hadn't ever caused any wars.

  • @TheAnMish

Aaahh come on now, AnMish - YOU are the guys that are ALWAYS saying that the Bible is a book of myths and fairy tales. Then blow me down, I go and agree with you and you start talking about ugly ducklings?

Who ever said the Ugly Duckling was a fairy tale? I thought it was a foible.

Err, you are, of course aware, are you not, that ducks, swans and geese are resposible for the demise of thousands of people who die in plane crashes as they land and take-off...No? Probably not.

  • 1:06 Only those that have the Spirit of God can have the Word of God.

    Oh. Ok.

  • Cults are scary. Big or small.

  • Yeah, this lady sounds like she is the ultimate colt leader.

  • what crap. Don't you understand that you are just passing on crap. You are saying that only those who are enlightened could possibly. "get it." So stupid. This is not founded in any types fabrications of misunderstanding. Shame on you. I hope you one day realize that you have been the spreader of lies. I know I was. God, if he existed would also be the God who give children debilitating illnesses. Yeah, blessed be the children... I will give them cancer and kill the first born in Egypt?

  • @sonofkratos6 GOSH, you are so boring!

There is PLENTY of nasty stuff in the Bible, like: "Also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead." (Ecclesiastes 9:3)

    and

"The heart (of man) is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

    and

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." (Isaiah 45:7)

    Get a life!

  • What a nice little way to throw out all the evidence for the bible being a fairy tale.

Even as a believer I had many questions that make no sense whatsoever and never can.

It is the same argument as the physic and there followers. (if you believe it then its real if you don't then its obviously a fraud.)

  • I've studied the bible for years, and i still can't understand why the religious can't just think for themselves and realise how crazy it is to follow such ancient, irrelevant beliefs? The bible was written over about 1,000 years, by desert tribesmen who knew nothing of science, and clearly made their god in their image; ie war-mongering, jealous and petty! Come on religious, join the world of common sense!

  • Your entire comment just proves to me that what I said in this video is absolutely true.

For somebody who claims to have "studied" the Bible, you know remarkably little about it. You are blind to it;'s truths, just as it says and you cannot even remotely see the relevance of Scripture. You are in error regarding the history of this book and your ignorance is scribbled here for all to see. Embarrasing huh!

People like you make me smile, because you are lost and are hellbent on staying lost!

  • I know enough about it; i was studying to become a priest!! I realised that there is so much pettiness from the god of the bible. Your 'truths' of scripture probably revolve around the teachings of Christ, many of which are fine, but i realised that while we might need to be reminded of the importance of 'goodness' from time to time, there is just so much other baggage that comes with the bible that is plain evil. Look at the church's history! Nope, not embarrasing at all, actually.

  • lol fucktards and their undebunkable arguments dont realize how unreliable those arguments are.

  • @Afrikitty You smiling at people being condemned to hee just prov you're a sadistic evil person...

  • @Afrikitty Nice logical fallacy!

  • @glyderau Aaahhhhhhhhhhhh,mmmmm - you've studied the Bible for years............hey? AND you STILL can't understand............

Perhaps there is SOME truth in what this lady is saying in this video?

  • @ChristEnduredForMe The sad thing is that if you take the bible literally you have to leave common sense and empirical evidence behind, and only a fool would do such a thing!

  • As a Christian myself, I don't share the same viewpoint as you, if I were not able to understand the bible as a non-believer how then would I have been saved?

  • GregN456,

Let's look a bit closer at God's plan of salvation.

How does His plan of salvation work? Those who are God's WILL understand and come to salvation because:

"For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified." (Romans 8:29-31)

    The others wont.

  • I' m just wondering, you wouldn't happen to be a Calvinist, would you?

  • Oh goodness yes - all five points of me, and a sixth one to boot, just in case you disagree with me. LOL

    Sola Fide!

    Solus Christus!

    Sola Gratia!

    Soli Deo Gloria!

    Sola Scriptura!

  • Well, I am not. And I do disagree with you. Do a bit of a word study on the few keywords in those verses and talk to me after that but I have yet to be convinced that coming to Christ is anything but a choice of freewill

  • Oh I have studied this for years and I have yet to be convinced otherwise.

You will not go to hell though just because you disagree with me on this issue and I doubt I will be there either because I disagree with you. These are what are called "non-essential issues" on which we CAN disagree, although there are some who would say these are crucial issues and we must "divide" because of them. Whether or not you believe in Calvin's doctrines will make a difference to the way you walk the walk.

  • I agree, this is not really a big issue, and doesn't have an effect on the gospel. But, I would rather study the bible then Calvin's doctrines.

  • Hey GregN456,

If you knew ANYTHING about "Calvin's Doctrines" you might have thought twice about making your comment. Calvin's Doctrines of Grace IS the Bible! Or, do you prefer to ignore Romans 8:29-31 as quoted in an earlier comment.

This just confirms what I see and hear from anti-Calvinists - that you have absolutely no clue what Calvin's Doctrines teach. If you did, you might have made a different comment entirely

Shortly, I will make a series of videos on what those doctrines teach.

  • Also, the five Solas as I listed them are not part of Calvin's Doctrines, however he did live his Christian walk by them.

    They mean in order listed

    Grace Alone

    Christ Alone

    Grace Alone

To God be the Glory Alone

    Scripture Alone.

I hope you don't disagree with any of that. If you do, you have a problem!

  • Amen... I am to a 5 pointer :) as to the 6th point.. I believe if we let them hang around..they'll become 5 pointer themselves.

  • Afrikitty. If I cannot understand the bible, neither can you,You use corinthian as a escape route for you have been told to say that when you realize that the bible in many place contradict itself. Typical brainwashing at it best. YOU CHOOSE TO IGNORE THE BAD MATH,GEOGRAPHY, false prophesies, slavery, etc.

  • @quebec10000

Ooohhh shaddap, you know - you are painful to listen to!

    Sheeshh

  • Like many ex-christians who are now atheists, I have read the bible and found that while it does have a few good points, there is much more that is wrong with it. Dan Barker, former evangelical preacher, and Stephanie Uhl, a former monk, because of their former religious training and bible reading helped me confirm my atheism, as well as the religious preference test of beliefnet, com.

  • @TheKilgoretrout This is indeed a tragedy. They were blind guides leading the blind - and there you all went and fell headlong into a PIT! Oh shame - what a great pity!

  • So, if I don't come to the same conclusion as you I don't understand? Is this your position?

  • No, that is not my conclusion. Please watch the video again.

  • Everything you speak comes from that book that you seem to think god wrote.

I wish that you and all other religious people could see the insanity of this.

If you could reason with religious people there would be no religious people.

  • I had the spirit of God when I was a Christian for nearly 20 years lady. The thing is, what makes you think you have the spirit of God inside of you at all? Well I hate to break this reality to you but you don't have a spirit inside of you. You have a brain in your head to think with. That's what I started to use after being a non thinking Christian. I started to question the so called "word of God" to only learn that it was never the word of God but the words of men who were blood thirsty.

  • so, the bible says that ppl must first accept god before they understand the bible?

are you saying i must first accept on faith alone a belief i do not hold before that belief makes sense?

    your logic at work:

you have to accept bigfoot as real before you have a bigfoot sighting.

you can't understand the evidence for UFOs until you've accepted that UFOs are real.

Odin will not reveal himself to non-believers. this is why you've never seen Odin.

  • @neonchez No, the Bible DOES NOT say that we must "accept God" first before we understand the Bible. I don't say that anywhere in this video, nor do I believe that either. Unregenerate man is totally incapable of "accepting" God, because they are born dead in trespass and sins according to Ephesians 2:1.

You guys...really...you accuse us of a lot of rubbish - and you do that because your foolish hearts are totally darkened.

  • Oh we atheists understand the bible perfectly well. It definitely makes perfect sense.

  • Afrikitty, the bible isn't the word of God. It's the words of barbaric humans. It is a very bloody, barbaric, cruel and disgusting book that should have warning labels put on all of them:

WARNING: LITERAL BELIEF IN THIS BOOK CAN BE DANGEROUS AND HARMFUL

  • So the many, many mass murderers, rapists, torturers etc than have said they're Christian are of a higher intelligence and moral understanding than us, law abiding atheists?

Surely also, going by your logic, your God will accept us as we were just too thick to understand your book of parables as nothing but fairy stories?

Which it is of course. Nice hair may I add.

  • Law abiding? In whose eyes?

"Surely also, going by your logic, your God will accept us as we were just too thick to understand your book of parables as nothing but fairy stories?"

I think I did say that in this video - it's a book of myths and fairytales to the unsaved.

    What? Hair? - You didn't like my dolls? :-}

  • Law abiding in the eyes of the country you and I happen to live in. Or are you calling for literal biblical law? Yes, I can just see the nation that preaches about freedom, having regular stoning sessions.

You're mental and that doll is freaking me out.

    Blessed are the cheesemakers.

  • Good points and analysis.

  • we just love you sister, praise God, thank you for this refreshing delivery... amen and Amen.

  • Ofended, no just getting my point across. I will be around trying to add reason to your videos.

  • Well hallo kenshin304, :-}

I am always open to reason, but I must tell you that my mind has been taken captive to the saving Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and unless yours is too, I am afraid that we will be at odds until my Saviour takes your mind captive to that gracious saving Gospel too.

May you be blessed in your quest.

  • very good commentary, thank you

  • Thank you for the encouragement alamo11. :-)

  • I agree with JoplinFreethinkers about the parts of the Bible you havn't bothered to read or choose not to follow. Your like many Religious people you Cherry pick your Holy book living the parts you want and disregarding the ones you don't. Your claim of not understanding the bible because i'm not with the spirit of god is just a cop out.

  • So, you got offended huh? Good! Your comment doesn't surprise me at all. In fact it proves the point.

I am reading the New Testament right now. I have not "cherry picked" as you accuse me of doing. It is all there, in case you hadn't noticed. In time, I'm sure I will get to the parts you are referring to and I will deal with objections when I get to them.

Until then, enjoy what I am reading. Your comments are welcome unless you use profanity, malign the name of God or attack me personally.

  • Atheist here. Christian for 22 years. You people just don't get the fact that most atheists actually used to be Christians. Because you seem like a respectable lady, i'll withhold my true thoughts your "doomed person" comment.

The bible has nothing to do with any God, hence the "Kill people who work on sabath" verse... and many other retarded verses.

  • Thank you ThIBN. Your comment is appreciated. However, don't always dwell on what you perceive to be "negative" verses in the Bible. Try to remember what I said in this video. The Bible says that this God is a "consuming fire". Now try to think of your own reaction when somebody offends you. I know I get very angry when I am hurt, but most times our anger in sinful. Nonetheless we are made in God's image.

A YouTube user called Karensfaith has dealt with some of those issues. Go and take a look.

  • Great wisdom in this video. Truly, you have the truth. God bless you sister.

  • Thank you NephilimFree. :-)

  • It is not a good practice telling other people what they can and cannot understand. How about you read the whole bible for us, and we can see your face when you read the parts that you have ignored up till now.

  • Totally agree with you JoplinFreethinkers

  • You did watch the video, I take it? And you missed the point totally!

  • "the deeper things of God..." I liked that.

    Good vid, sister.

That doll in the back....she just creepily stares at me.

  • Ahhhhahaha Tony,

My daughter thinks my dolls are creepy too. I collect them and I have some beauties. The one staring creepily at you is called Shay. Sometimes you will see Tabitha and other times you will see Molly. Molly fell off the couch and broke her hand right off, so she is off to the doll hospital to get a new one. You see, ;-) - God does heal amputees....ha ha ha ha ha

  • Good points. Satan blinds their minds as well...

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Cor 4:4)

It can be a struggle to remain humble while an atheist calls you an idiot for believing. But they don't realize we are trying to rescue them from the fire and that they are supernaturally blind to truth. What I wish they would realize is its not about being right - its eternity.

  • Hi there BigwhammyRocks,

I would recommend a book for all to read - It's called "Sighs from Hell" or "Groans from Hell" written by John Bunyan of "The Pilgrim's Progress" fame . It is available only through the secondry market such as bookshops that sell through Amazon and B&N. It is a graphic narration of the cries of a lost soul who resides in hell. Written in olde worlde English, it is enough to send the old collywobbles down the strongest spine and cause them to rethink their lost state.

  • I enjoy your readings. You have a keen insight, Afrikitty! Thanks for taking time to do these readings.

  • And I love having you visit me in my channel TiredOfjwHypocrites. Thank you. :-}

  • Something you may not understand though about many atheists is that many, like myself, came from a religious background.

I find it rather sad you think atheists don't understand the bible. I was raised Catholic and was put through catholic schooling for 12 years. I know and understand the teachings of the bible.

Thanks in part to that understand, I was turned off by the bible.

You cannot speak for the whole of the group when there are so many different people.

  • When you say you were raised catholic and you went to a catholic school it doesnt say much about you knowing and understanding the Bible. In fact, my mom was raised catholic almost all her life and she was turned off by that religion as well, and later she embraced true Christianity. If you research the origin of the catholic religion, you will find that it is so not Christian at all, it is completely pagan. My mom also told me the priests never even read the Bible during their sermons.

  • Perhaps you didn't watch the video in it's entirety. I would advise that you do so again.

I was raised Catholic in the strictest of convents. It is only recently that Catholics are able to own Bibles and read them. American Catholicism is not the same as Catholicism that pervades openly Catholic Countries, although it is fast getting there.

I praise God you are out, but if you understand the Bible the way you say you do, the why are you not Born Again the way Jesus mandates? Blessings.
