I'm sorry. the sound quality on these ipads is not good, not authentic. And it doesn't really give off any ability asides from keyboard 'skills'. Just take a few keyboards, put people on a stage and call it an 'orchestra'- really? this is impressive? really? this is descent of authentic music

@IcarusTuga7 Far Less advanced. Aside from the fact that the sound capabilities are very limited with a theremin, cameras can (and do) easily replicate that functionality. Haptic feedback is very important for musicianship. That's why theremins are so difficult -- or such a niche instrument.

Ugh...that sounds seriously horrible, though an A for effort is warranted. The iPad holds out much more promise as a virtual synth and virtual drum machine, though the apps that have come out so far have mostly been expensive toys. Still, give the thing a chance and I think it will impress.

The music is beautiful, I love it. Why do luddites think that if an instrument is not made from bits of dead trees and dead animals then it is not real? It sounds very real to me and the light show is perfect for the piece.

It seems like if you're going to go that far, why not replace all of them with one musical score? Why introduce the human element beyond the composer? But some people seem to appreciate the physical skill of mastering an actual instrument more than playing Orchestra Hero. I'd say they both have their place, but I do wonder if real musical instruments will continue their tenacious grip on music. So much is made on computers these days, but people want to see "live" performances.
