interesting, why didn't they just make the batteries cut off at 15 days maximum and completely remove the chance of detonation after the allotted time? strange that they didn't just think of that.
@Barnekkid They already do. That's the only reason we're allowed to use land mines at all legally, they have auto destruct/deactivate systems built in.
The narrator sounds like he's a 2 pack a day kind of guy, well if he's narrating about the evil that is landmines he might aswell be a big tobacco fan at the same time, probably goes out seal clubbing on the weekends lol
We need this on the border.

@toolbaggers Why? The only reason Canada really exists as it is - is because of the United States.

because it would weaken the effectiveness of the weapon. just accept that they dont care about the people but only profit despite what they say.

@Frederf220 too bad in most cases the built in auto destruct mechanism fails but the thing can stuill go off when disturbed.

This is an actual CBU-89, unlike some of these other videos that declare its a "Gator"
usafshelland 3 years ago
by that logic , the plane plane dropping it is an F-15 not an "Eagle"
PsuPepperoni 2 years ago
The first jet in the video is an F-111. The still pic is an F-15.
