It's weird, yeah, it's a pretty hardcore remix compared to many others, but the way he changed the chord structure actually, weirdly, kinda makes it sound a little more sombre especially at 2:11 with the whole beats in the background, and that's what a remix is supposed to do, I think. I don't think this is quite my style, though.
