@Nat5622 Even if you don't practice formally, keep playing. The more you learn the faster the learning becomes(or at least it feels that way). I used to toil over certain songs and just give up, years later I find that the same song can be learned in a few minutes.

its curious you say that, It happens the same to me. I used to try a song and soon discovered I wasnt good enough to play it. One year later, I tried it again just out of curiosity and I got it down in no time :P its funny, thats the magic of that "keep playing" thing

@gewerh44 My biggest issue is memory. I'm only able to read tabs, so I have to go off of how I hear it while reading the tab. Once I learn that I have to learn the changes for each song and it just gets really over-whelming. I guess thats why I still cant play faster then the fills from Moby Dick. I feel like I hit a bit of a wall, but then again I haven't been practicing as much

I never understood y this song is not that popular compared to stairway to heaven and others..it kicks the ass of stairway to heaven..Its the most complex song i have ever heard..at first when i started hearing this song i was like okay gud song but after multiple hearings i was stunned..its the best song of led zep. according to me and one of my most fav. songs ever..def. in top 10

But only one thing i don't like about this song is its length..its too short..it should have been 10 min. more!!

I didnt care about Slash either. I was all about Page. But I gave a listen to Slashs style, and it literally blew my mind.

I think Slash is a very talented guitarist with a unique style, sloopy some say, but truth be told, people love his badass riffs, amazing solos and honest style. Isnt music about that?

Critics used to say GNR would die in no time. They were wrong.

Slash once said... "I think Guns N` Roses will be one of those bands that will be around forever".

I believe that this song has a very complicated guitar work.

It would be really hard to agree on which parts he would play and which parts I would play. Itd be a mess.

The way to make the best interpretation of the guitars is that theres only 1 guitarist taking care of them.

An epiphone les paul std costs around 500 dollars.

And a Gibson les paul std costs around 2500 dollars.

The epi has a more accurate price, more real. The gibson lp is more expensive cuz its better quality, but there isnt 2000 dollars of difference in quality. It should cost 1000 or 1200 dollars, the problem is that you also pay for the brand, the pleasure of having "Gibson" written on the headstock.

well, I didnt take lessons, so I didnt learn the best way, I had to figure out a lot of stuff by myself.

The first thing I focused on was chords, first position, bar chords, etc.

I learnt a lot of songs just by strumming chords.

Slowly I would figure out an easy solo or lick from time to time (i.e. dust in the wind's violin solo, lei it be's solo, etc).

Thats how I started. Your skills will improve and youll discover a lot of things by yourself.
