I envy you bastards that got to see them! I was 17 when Country Dick died and if it wasn't for Gonzo Greg and The Big Dumb Show in Indianapolis I might never have heard of them. RIP to a great performer, at least I have Youtube to get what I can from it!
beat farmers came from SD, CA.. born out of the Penetrators, and the ever twisted mind of Jerry.. What a great time... And it lives on in the Farmers... go to their website!!! Dieter
Ha, dumbest story ever, but I remember being a little kid, about 4 or 5, and my parents playing this album (Van Go) nonstop during family trips. They met in San Diego and saw them nonstop when they played around there.
Best live band ever. These guys rocked HARD. Country Dick was THE MAN. Saw them live probably a dozen times and can honestly say that those are some of the best times of my life.
I totally agree with you. I only saw them twice once in '87 and again in the early 90's. This was the music of my young adulthood. These where some of my best times.
we would go to the bach and eat sushi watch the farmers. I can even remember bodies off uni are we getting old. I was too young to go to the spring valley inn but my wife would go with out me
This is filmed at a club down the street from me calle The 94th Aero Squadren (It's right by a airfield. Also notice the plane in the back)This sounds alot better then the concert I recorded for here.Well here's to
I live on Clmt & Balboa I started seein' them @ Spring Valley Inn onto Bodies to The Bac and Belly Up etc.I recorded every New Years Eve Show KGB brodcast live and have converted them onto cd now.Going to The Farmers @ Adams Ave Street Fair tomorrow. Are you from S.D.? (I have move more Farmer stuff then I think anyone does)That one show here is from a show called Club 33 I gave it to the guys,Jerry gave it to someone and the whole show is here now.

You are my new hero! Man, I would have killed to see The 'Farners! RIP Dick Montana!

I saw 'em at Club Fred, in Fresno, sometime in the early 90's...
It was a hoot! what a great show! They had this super nasty song to the tune of the "green acres" theme, but I can't recall the name of the song.
