Shadow man is a great movie, if you wanna laugh. Every single action scene has a stuntman for Seagal (even when he's running to a car) and the stuntman looks nothing like Seagal + weights about 60 pounds less than him.

Maybe what's really happening is that his aim is so accurate that every shot he fires either immediately hits or ricochets into the helicopter and then hits a major component, first starting with the steering and then moving on, resulting in the gears falling out and bursting of the fuel-line which caught fire from the sparks of the gear grinding and bullet bouncing that traveled to the gas tank and caused a catastrophic explosion?

When your that far away i very much doubt that a pistol round would take down a chopper or even pierce its armour for that matter. If so this would result in helicopters totally renderless and not useable in the armed forces. If you can find any account of a helicopter being taken down with a 9mm pistol with over 200 to 500meters away then i very much reccomend you do so.

When you Steven Segal you have the ability to imbue PWN into objects and cause those objects to do things they shouldnt do under normal laws of physics.

In this case, under normal circumstances that gun shouldnt take down a hellicopter, but because Steven Segal is filled with PWN his simple handgun did.
