Don't put the bun on the grill. Instead, when the hot dog is done, put the bun in the microwave along with a glass of water for 30 seconds.

The water will evaporate out of the glass and make the bun so much more fluffy and soft.

Cut the hot dog right down the middle (almost in half!). And lay it down so the inside of the dog is face down and the round outside of the hot dog is cooked by the upper burner.

After it is cooked...

This MAY seem ridiculous to some...but I have to tell you I just got mine yesterday and bought Nathan's Hot Dogs (been buying them for the past few months...hadn't had a hot dog in literally YEARS but craved one - best hot dogs ever!!) and thought I might try it instead of the microwave.
