  • Thank you so much

  • thanks im in 5th grade and ive wanted to learn to find the area of a circle for a long time this was the simplest thing i could find thank you!

  • or the sun suddenly explodes and theres no more solar power

  • i am doing the science fair and i needed that answer. thanks soooo much. oh and i am in 5th grade

  • thankyou , you helped me do my homework.. big thanks

  • yeah a quick question pls help where did the 3.14 come from how did he get it ??? i don't understand pie?

  • @ramowniou1 I don't know much abt the pie but it was mostly encouraged, studied and tried to be found out in India. Buddha encouraged it. Bramhagupta(i think so) studied it. and Aryabhatha tried to find out the whole number of pie(like he tried to see it 22/7 can be made to any number other than a fractional one)

  • @ramowniou1 Pi is a number which derived from calculating the relativity between circles or spheres to their radius. Pi is a mathematical constant, it goes on far beyond 3.14, if I'm not mistaken, it's 3.14159265359......... (it goes on indefinately). Normally, when you don't have a calculater that gives you the opportunity to use Pi in your calculations, 3.14 is accepted. Pi is simply a mathematical constant, you can't calculate it without know the exact radius and the exact area

  • @ramowniou1 its pi not pie and i dont know where he got 3.14 but my teacher said thats how pi is made. pi also has an alternative 22/7 its in fraction

  • my daughter understands it now thank you so much !!.

  • Wow!!!!! Way better explained then how my teacher ha attempted

  • Thank you so much! ♥

  • "One for...something something something"

    Lol,i love you man XD

  • i salute you

  • tku u u were really helpfull to me because i anderstanded more than i understand my teacher

  • you r so much help u make math fun and last year i watched ur videos alot cuz my math teacher was horrible this years he great just today he went a lil too fast and i didnt get it,thanks!

  • @joebroluver1999, you are actually incorrect. Circumfence is the distance around the circle (perimeter), Area is the space inside the circle.

  • you are way better than those robot teachers on youtube

  • I LOVE YOU MAN < NICE VIDEO THAT WAS MY PROBLEM PI = POO

  • actually that would be incorrect regaurding the formula. It is not A=...... it is C=...... because you are trying to find the circumference of a circle. it is not called area because a circle doesnt have an area because it has no sides. i guess you can call it area but on the actual test it will say find the circumference.. im only 13 and i know this so i think you should

  • thanx

  • Very nice video. You are a lifesaver. I'm an old college student. You did great.

  • I wish my teacher was like you, so i could understand everything. eventhough i do not like math. really nice, helpful video

  • this is on my other account- Pokekid66--- and np my teacher taught us that

  • Well I guess your right about that Pokekid66. I was wrong I just looked it up and I also did it on my paper. It just comes to 3.14. Not 3.1416 or whatever it is. Yeah thanks it helped.

  • For one thing I am 34 have not bee in high school in a long time. And for another this is the GED class that I have been in for a few months and I only need the math test to get my GED. Thanks for saying my school is retarded though.

  • I found this out yesterday May 2 of 2011, that the 3.14 is equal to 22 over 7 or 22 7ths. Something to remember I guess but I like the 3.14.

  • @uhavemooface gess wat im in 6th grade and ive known that since 5th ur school sounds retarded!! :P

  • @uhavemooface

sorry to tell you, but 3.14 is NOT equal to 22 over 7. That's a just an old myth. Hope that helped you out! :)

by the way, thank mr. jedi!

  • Yeah it does. do the math and you will find out that it does. There is no old myth about that.

  • Thank you so much! You really helped me figure this out! :-)

  • You are my hero!

  • I have a interview in the next week for a job: and part of the requirements is knowing a bit of math like this ... so thanks I understand how to find the area of a circle.. I probably wont get the job anyways. But Im glad for the math lesson.

  • What do you do when you dont have the radius instead you have the diameter?

    sorry if i sound stupid

  • @XVELAZQUEZX559 The only thing that is stupid is not asking when you have a question. When you are given the diameter, simply divide it by two to get the radius, as the radius is 1/2 the diameter.

  • @XVELAZQUEZX559 you will say Not much information Given. ,

  • ThAnk you soo much!!!

  • Thanks. You've rescued my maths homework!

  • nice thaks i readdy for my school test but what program are u useing for the sums

  • Thank you so much, this has helped me so much in doing my maths homework! :)

  • Dear JediTeacher,

I'm homeschooled this year (only) and these videos help me so much when I don't have a real teacher to help! (I'm online schooled)

  • I was able to understand Thank you!!

  • This Was My Homework To Try And Learn How You Find The Area Of A Circle And You Helped Me With My Maths Test :']

  • LOL LOVED IT WHEN YOU SAID CACULATOR AT 2:36

  • Wow, doing this with fractions is hell on earth, but doing this with decimals is so easy. Why is America and Britain still using this Medieval Measurement? I wish we had switched over to the metric system in the 1970s like they wanted to.

  • Excellent video - straight forward and a tiny bit funny :-)

  • uve helped me to math heaven.... thxs

  • Thanks u helped me alot

  • :O I GOT IT!

  • thank you

  • This is awsome..that is actually my homework problem!!!!.....wow ....how conveinent...what a quincidence!!! you are very awesome thank you so much for your help!!!!

  • your video is great it explains step by step

  • thnx this realy helped my test.

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • thank you , you really helped me with finding the area of a cirlce with my maths which i have got an exam for 2morrow

  • thank you Jedi may the force be with you

  • thank uu!

  • thanks your better then my school teacher all he does is give us answers i never learn =( i always watch ur vids, and i subscibed =)

  • thank you ur soo smart i wont fail

  • Cheers I thought pie r squared was pie times r then square the answer, thanks for clearing that.

  • thank you soo much! you have just helped me complete my really hard math homework!

  • Thanks a lot. I am teaching how to find the area of a circle

  • thank you so much this helped me alot

  • THANK YOU!! My teacher takes 15 mins to explain this and at the end i dont even get it! Now i understand my math :) Thanks

  • Omg u so helped me out. thx! you make me understand things better and actually show how to solve it. ohh && very funny to :)

  • will they ever ask you for the exact area? in 6th grade?

  • i like this you should do more like this great vid

  • lol I aint talking apple or cherry

  • yeah hes cool!

  • Thank you soooooo much you helped me a lot keep making these vids please

  • thank you very much! you are even nicer and funnier then my math tutor =D

  • Thanks Jediteacher. You helped me with my homework!! :D

  • thanks so much. I am taking pre- aldrebra and there is going to be a chapter test tommorrow about areas and diameters. You really saved me there and thanks to you i am not going to fail the 6th grade. Thank you and may the force be with you haha

  • thank you so so much! i was having trouble with my math homework and this helped! thanks! this is way more helpfull than yourteachermathhelp! there video is just confusing! ugh!!

  • Thank you So much!!

  • thanks

  • thank you Mr. Jedi

  • Thanx alot..very helpful

  • I have a test tommorow and this helped me A LOT ! thankkss :)

  • Mr Jedi,

Your video are wonderful and I bookmarked them. Thank you so much and God bless you for sharing your knowledge with everyone!

  • Thank you. I'm glad you find them helpful.

  • @jediteacher2007 you said "pretty close to to having the area." So is pretty close close enough or did you leave something out or is there anther video that will teach me the rest? Thank you very much for taking the time to help all of us with your videos.

  • @nicholsjoshua15 Sorry for the confusing statement. This IS how to find the area; nothing left out.

  • @jediteacher2007 Hey thanks you must really care about what you do, because most people would never take the time to straiten out a mistake like you just did. If you were my math teacher I bet I would have my GED inside of six months. My strong points are English, history, science, and reading but math is my real trouble spot.

  • thanks a whole lot!!!!!

  • You are very welcome!

  • Question R=16.9 find the area

    A=pie 16.9

    A=pie 16.9^ lets call ^ 2

    A=3.14x 16.9^

    A=896.8

    A=900.0

Ok first off how did I get 896.8 and second how did it equal off to 900.0? Help plz

  • it only = 900.0 if u estimate

  • thanks foo now ima look smart tomorrow casue my teacher told us what were goin to be learning about and nobody know's how to find it unless they did what i did

  • thanks a whole lot! this might beat my test

  • thx dude

i finally know after all these minutes of figuring it out by myself i should have just got on the computer and found out

  • thank you you saved me from failing my math homework

  • great videos thanks
