But the problems causing war are not because of any particular country or race. They stem from within mankinds own life nomatter who or where he or she may be. Even two people abusing each other - whether it be 2 brothers, sisters, friends, parents etc - this is still part of the bigger thing. Each act of abuse is contributing to the power of abuse and it connects as surely as the radio waves allow us to connect in conversation.

Any sane person would be against things that bring widespread death and destruction.How many soldiers that fought Hitler and Tojo in WW2 said "I love war!"? There will never be peace as long as there is evil. It has to be defeated, and holding hands and strumming guitars won't do it. Some of the thousands killed in 911 were probably "anti war" also. It's really hard to make the world a better place if you're dead.

Lots of us in the US agree with this, but it won't have much effect. Here in the US we learn nothing about the world from the major media, and there is a network of right-wing talk radio all over the nation now of incredible viciousness. We are stuck in our own little pot of righteousness and jingoism, and the county is go so geographically big and militarily powerful that there's nothing to left us out of it.

This criticism does not just appear out of nowhere or as communist propaganda. America has earned this criticism and earned it a thousand times as harshly as this song, by its own actions as well as mentality.
George Bush Sr. stated publicly while president that America was going to go to Iraq and "kick their asses". That kind of dumb bully mentality deserves much more criticism than just this little song.

The reason we went in Iraq because Saddam was going to sell his Oil in Euro instead of the dollars. I know that and WW2 was one of only a few neccisary wars in my mind. I was just trying to say that war isn't a good thing. In some cases it is a necissary evil. You shouldn't dress it up to make it seem glamorous and helpful. On the other hand you can't be too antiwar or you end up getting dominated by someone who isn't as peace minded as you. Its hard to find a ballance and in the end only history can justify a war.
