  • Most of the bikes at walmart like the roadmasters, nexts, huffys, and anything with "WM" in the model number are cheap junk... The only reliable inexpensive bike walmart sells is the GMC Denali Road Bike... and of course, the one I bought wasn't assembled properly... but once that was fixed, it has been a very good reliable bike. Over 2000 miles and counting.

  • Hey I worked at Walmart like 2 years and I've assembled a lot of bikes. If you get all the parts on and it rolls and works right, who the fuck cares if the kick stand touches when you don't PUT IT ALL THE WAY UP!!!??? Most buyers want to connect and tension the brake cables themselves so that is why they ain't always connected. The front forks can be fitted custom the other ways around for a different ride - its just a matter of choice and you can always change it.

  • Ya Bobby, just in case you were not making some sick joke. You are the guy I am talking about, the guy who shouldn't be allowed to even think about touching a bike with a wrench. Absolutely no pride, attention to detail or professionalism with you, just peace of mind as someones skin is being ripped off their skull when they crash because of a "custom fit for a different ride." For God and Country I hope you never work on another bike as long as you live.

  • An honest bike assembly/PDI is about half an hour. I doubt there is much more than 5 min put into department store bikes. Plus they probably don't do goodwill gestures like grease the seatpost or stem so they don't rust in place. When i worked as a bike mechanic someone brought in a dept store bike with the seatpost hammered into the head tube/forks. I guess they bought it in the box and thought they could assemble it themselves. Took us hours to separate it and assemble it properly.

  • Gives a whole no meaning to the term: ride it till the wheels fall off. I had a high school buddy who used to work for Walmart, during the Christmas season, they take unloaders and over night stockers to build these bikes and run them out as fast as possible because people are just buying them up so fast. He would bring bikes out with brakes not attached, loose bolts, pedals not screwed in all the way, tires flat, etc... the manager said as long as the bolts were on there, put 'em out.

  • Oh my that was scary. just don't sale mine ok keep it hidden

    Bit

  • WOW

  • it me furst day widda camra.

  • While I appreciate Wal-Mart for many things they should not have a bike department unless they can hire people qualified to touch a bike with a wrench.

  • Nice videos! I seen some cheap kickstands on quality bicycles too. Not just cheap ones. I myself find, buy, fix, and resell old bicycles on Craigslist. I usually never buy big box store bicycles unless they are 20 or more years old, and in clean shape. One thing Wal-Mart buyers gotta learn is the cheap bicycles may look good, but the components are garbage. I suppose every Wal-mart bicycle on the road probably had a derailur go into the spokes!

  • Absolutely amazing ! Great video some things you just have to see to believe.

  • "These people shouldn't be allowed near a bike" Thats funny. Thanks bike wizard- I take it, it would be better to buy the bike unassembled at Wal-Mart and then build it yourself or have drunk monkeys put it together.

  • He is the Wizard. Seing this, wou;d you really want to take your car to Wallmart?

  • we get at least 5 a month in the shop with back wards forks

  • The Wizard knows. This is just more proof of that truth.
