@pianoplayeruk...hi there! Tks for the compliments!! I don't know this specific song by caymmi but will try to listen to it...also, i'm leaving to brazil tonight for 3 weeks and my internet access might be slightly "impaired" but let's keep in touch...i'll be back in miami on sep 12th and can probably figure out a way to help you on time for your wedding...sunny regards from the sunshine state!!
Your video is great. I've learned so much from your postings. Thank you. I have been trying to figure out the chords to the intro songs on Brazilian Gt. lessons I and II by watching your video. I must know the names of these songs. Keep the lessons coming. Thank you.
Good stuff! Could you recommend some brazilian records with your style of playing? I've been listening to Joao Gilberto etc but his style is very soft and not so funky.
Thanks so much! I've learned alot of those chords and love the music, but never had any idea how to enter the worlds of jazz or Brazilian music. Your video was very helpful (and beautiful music) and once I get back on my feet again, I would love to become another of your cyber students. Bless you! Tracy
I'm loving the videos but it would help the students to see the fretboard clearly if the guitar was facing the camera instead of at the slight angle that you have it.

thanks for this lessons i would love to learn more about bossanova because is one of my favorites styles in music ,,i really hope you could put some more clips like this, to learn more about harmony like this,, you play amazing
You're awesome. I love Brazilian music and I want to learn that style on the guitar - very much like how you play it on your first two You Tube videos. Can I become a cyber student of yours?
Sorry for the time it took me to answer - had a crazy week!! Yes, I'd be more than glad to work out a way to teach you online...let's talk!! Thanks for the comments!! Best, cezar
Cezar, you are totally awesome. I have been trying to learn how to play in a Brazilian style and you are great man. Totally inspirational for me to get started. Keep the videos coming man, I love them! Keep up the great work!
Great lessons. I have a pretty good understanding of jazz chord voicings, but what would help me a lot would be an explanation of right hand rhythm patterns. Thanks
No intenta enseñar, solo muestra los acordes. Los ritmos no le salen muy brasileros les salen muy jazzeros. Fijense en el video ese en la academia que dice que mezcla funk con ritmo brasilero, es cualquiera el petiso.
Fala autoridade!!! Te cuento: los ritmos me salen como quiero que me salgan...puedo tocar muy brasileño pero me gustan otras cosas también...it takes at least two argentinians to do what one brazilian does naturally but it just takes one argentinian to complain about WHATEVER...si no te gusta, elige otro canal y otras clases - that's the beauty of youtube!!
I love the sound of the Brasilian bosa nova. If you could maybe do a close up of some of the chords for us, it would be very helpful....I don't know much theory but I can play by ear pretty well. Keep the lessons coming!
Dig your lesson. You've got to explain the percussive sounds that give you that authentic brazilian accent in your left hand! It's like your muting, slaps and taps imitates the drum kit. I only seen one video that really addresses the left hand. Slowing your demo down some may help me hear better. Looking to hear more.
Thanks for the comment! I'm gonna have to figure out a way to explain my right hand - which is really the "groovy" one...it might take a little time but i promise i'll work on it : )
I am absolutely in awe of your style and the application of this technique.
It's like you're playing lead, rhythm, percussion and bass all at the same time. The man/machine interaction in you is just amazing!
Can you play Lá Vem a Baiana by Dorival Caymmi? Id like to learn this, including Brazilian lyrics, for my girlfriend at our wedding in December.
Any hints, clues, advice, help, bearing in mind I am about 6000 miles from Florida, in the UK, but Im happy to pay!
Its your call sir.
