  • I am absolutely in awe of your style and the application of this technique.

It's like you're playing lead, rhythm, percussion and bass all at the same time. The man/machine interaction in you is just amazing!

Can you play Lá Vem a Baiana by Dorival Caymmi? Id like to learn this, including Brazilian lyrics, for my girlfriend at our wedding in December.

Any hints, clues, advice, help, bearing in mind I am about 6000 miles from Florida, in the UK, but Im happy to pay!

    Its your call sir.

  • @pianoplayeruk...hi there! Tks for the compliments!! I don't know this specific song by caymmi but will try to listen to it...also, i'm leaving to brazil tonight for 3 weeks and my internet access might be slightly "impaired" but let's keep in touch...i'll be back in miami on sep 12th and can probably figure out a way to help you on time for your wedding...sunny regards from the sunshine state!!

  • Your video is great. I've learned so much from your postings. Thank you. I have been trying to figure out the chords to the intro songs on Brazilian Gt. lessons I and II by watching your video. I must know the names of these songs. Keep the lessons coming. Thank you.

  • very good, I hope your video clearer, so I can still your chords.

  • make a part 3!! Awesome!

  • Great lesson! I would love to see your fretboard a bit better if you make another one.

I see that you accepted some one as a "cyber student"

I was wondering if it worked out allright and if i might be your seccond online student.

Hope to hear from you soon.

  • Good stuff! Could you recommend some brazilian records with your style of playing? I've been listening to Joao Gilberto etc but his style is very soft and not so funky.

    Thank you!

  • i learned so much from your 2 videos. Im an intermediate level player and you opened up so much for me. thank you.

  • Thanks so much! I've learned alot of those chords and love the music, but never had any idea how to enter the worlds of jazz or Brazilian music. Your video was very helpful (and beautiful music) and once I get back on my feet again, I would love to become another of your cyber students. Bless you! Tracy

  • Plz faz o video 3 hehehe

    abracao

  • gosh your awesome..my cat loves you too he's umm...stroking the screen of my laptop with his paw.. :L much love <3

  • Cezar,

I'm loving the videos but it would help the students to see the fretboard clearly if the guitar was facing the camera instead of at the slight angle that you have it.

    Keep the knowledge coming!

    Prazer,

    david

  • Obrigado pelas dicas!

  • You're fantastic!! I love your play and this song.

I just started playing brazilian music a month ago,so your videos are very inspiring for me.

I wonder if you could tell me where I can get the chords or tab of this song, thanks.

  • excellent lesson...very clear...I love it.

  • Great stuff but I can't see what you are doing with your left hand.

  • thanks for this lessons i would love to learn more about bossanova because is one of my favorites styles in music ,,i really hope you could put some more clips like this, to learn more about harmony like this,, you play amazing

  • Que delicia oir u bossa tan bien tocado.

Eres un virtuoso de la guitarra Cesar

  • You're awesome. I love Brazilian music and I want to learn that style on the guitar - very much like how you play it on your first two You Tube videos. Can I become a cyber student of yours?

  • Sorry for the time it took me to answer - had a crazy week!! Yes, I'd be more than glad to work out a way to teach you online...let's talk!! Thanks for the comments!! Best, cezar

  • Verry good!!!

    sua voz è muito lindaaa!!!

  • Brigadduu...por esse e pelos outros elogios!! Fico feliz que vc esteja curtindo minha música!!

  • Dude, that's awesome, thanks for posting it, looking forward to more.

  • Very inspiring teaching video! Worth Watching! Thanks!

  • you play very well!! and i get the chords... but i guess you play more than just the chords.

  • po to aqui assistindo as aulas direto bicho parabens professor! otimo trabalho

  • brigaduuuuu...então tá, agora é continuar aprendendo juntos & rockin' the city brou!!Let's keep doing it!!

  • Oi Cezar, tudo blz?

  • Great man ! Thanks for posting this lesson ! regards from Holland, Harry

  • Cezar, you are totally awesome. I have been trying to learn how to play in a Brazilian style and you are great man. Totally inspirational for me to get started. Keep the videos coming man, I love them! Keep up the great work!

  • Thank Cezar for your contribution to the guitar, I found your lessons very helpful, keep them coming please.

  • grande !! Continue postando, Cezar! Sou guitarrista e o violão brasileiro é uma arte ! Parabéns.

  • Great lessons. I have a pretty good understanding of jazz chord voicings, but what would help me a lot would be an explanation of right hand rhythm patterns. Thanks

  • Fala autoridade!!! Te cuento: los ritmos me salen como quiero que me salgan...puedo tocar muy brasileño pero me gustan otras cosas también...it takes at least two argentinians to do what one brazilian does naturally but it just takes one argentinian to complain about WHATEVER...si no te gusta, elige otro canal y otras clases - that's the beauty of youtube!!

  • Muito bom! Parabens.

  • if i sell everything could I move to a beach and find this joy of life in brazil and learn the rhytmn of bossa?

  • Thank you for unlocking the secrets of this beautiful style of playing! Will be watching again closely.

  • Great job, waiting for the next one!

  • Love this lesson and your personality.

  • Oi, tudo bem

I love the sound of the Brasilian bosa nova. If you could maybe do a close up of some of the chords for us, it would be very helpful....I don't know much theory but I can play by ear pretty well. Keep the lessons coming!

    Obrigado

  • muinto bom...

Falta muinto, para eu tocar assim!

  • A million thanks!

  • What's the song name??? I would like to practice!!!!!!!!!tks

  • Chiclete com Banana, Gordurinha e Almira Castilho, recordings available by Jackson do Pandeiro, Gilberto Gil etc...i'm glad you like it!!

  • A lot to absorb on both vids. thanks for taking the time and giving to those of us who appreciate the bossa.

  • I love that song, chiclete com banana, I would love to play that. Great job!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • you should teach blue bossa thanx for the lesson

  • I would love to play congas behind you....such beautiful music =]

  • beleza pura meu bom!!!

  • Dig your lesson. You've got to explain the percussive sounds that give you that authentic brazilian accent in your left hand! It's like your muting, slaps and taps imitates the drum kit. I only seen one video that really addresses the left hand. Slowing your demo down some may help me hear better. Looking to hear more.

    Obrigada!

  • tks, i´ll be posting more stuff when i get back home...obrigado pelo comment!!

  • please keep more lessons coming! your explanations are really helpful.

  • tks!!!!

  • cezar,

Thank you. I will evolve because you share.

  • grat and very relaxing

  • Obrigado.

Its great, I love youre groovey playing.

Please explain your right hand playing, especially your thumb!

  • Thanks for the comment! I'm gonna have to figure out a way to explain my right hand - which is really the "groovy" one...it might take a little time but i promise i'll work on it : )
