  • This is incredible!

  • To all "The Incal" fans: we are thrilled to announce the creation of a new movie trailer, fresh from the oven. Spread the word!! Subscribe to PascalBlaisChannel

  • Oh my lord, I've just recently discovered Incal. And then this... why, oh why is it not.

  • It's a fucking crime that this doesn't exist, but The Smurfs movie does.

  • Moebius should totally ask his buddy Miyazaki finish or completely redo this thing and release it.

  • At least we've got the fifth element as a little glimpse of what a hollywood movie of this could've been... but that was 14 years ago!

  • Heaven is a place where money is not needed at all, and so projects like those are carried out with enormous success.

  • Damnit! Somebody give them the money! Come On Motion Picture Mafia Dudes! This is million times better than most of the stuff you´re currently flooding the markets with!

  • So how much of the film was actually animated?

    Any leak available?

  • When was this supposed to come out?

  • I wonder if The Metabaron would have been in this movie. too bad it wont see the light of day

  • can someone point me to some cartoons similar to these?

  • @Majesticon You should check out Ranxerox by Liberatore, Starstruck by Lee, Exterminator 17 by Bilial, and Drulliet. Have fun ;)

  • @Sloane100 cool.. are these animated? thanks!

  • @Majesticon Of course, that's why I recommended them. They are not animated films, they are comic strips just like the what this Incal film is based on. Do a search on Amazon for Incal 1, 2 and 3.

  • Moebius should totally animate The Incal now, make it massive and epic as ever. Don't think its gonna happen though :(

  • Why do people like Incal? It sucks. Hard. Really. Jodorowsky is a fuck.

  • i hope and even pray for l'incal to be finished someday! i've loved the comic since before i could read. let it be done. amen.

  • @bbKleefton HA! You must be a monotheist then!

  • @Toughnuffet that totally depends on your very own apparatus of understanding Mr Numbnut. HA! back atcha

  • @bbKleefton Ho!? Think you that I'm some sorry maid in need of instruction? You would only guess at the assholes I've licked, and you might be surprised how some smelled disgusting but tasted delicious.

  • @elvenvampire1 ok. i guess this is where i quit answering arrogant youtube replies forever.

  • @bbKleefton HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAH! All my opponents flee in disgust, careful nigga' you might find yourself busted.

  • @elvenvampire1 congratulations with your extremely significant victory. oh wait...

  • @bbKleefton Be my friend, and you shall not want for victory in the next lifetime.

  • 3:47 Looks like one of the prints from Geoff Darrow's/Moebius' City of Fire.

  • Atlast ... Couldn't they just clean it up and finish it? Incal deserves to be a movie. It's far better than anything ever. A live action version could be done now. I do prefer this animation. It's so good and detailed.

  • It's not too late to have this series turned into a live action movie. Though I don't know about what they'd do with all the nudity involved with the original books. A live action movie would be great.

  • The nearest thing to a live adaptation of the Incal (or even moebius style and jodorowski's themes) by now is the fifth element.

  • Which was infringemeant on INCAL. The people who made that movie actually got sued by moebius and jodorowski.

  • I don't really know what to think about that since I've read both that moebius participated on its designs and about the sueing you talk about, but I've never read both versions in the same place. The only thing I know is that now I like moebius style cause I first liked the fifth element. It might be sad, but I first saw that movie for free in television and then paid for the incal comic that I couldn't have read any other way in my case. It's a shame it's a matter of who reaches first :(

  • L'Incal remaining unfinished is one of the great tragedies of animation...

  • man would i have liked this to have been finished id give my right arm :))))

  • Yo' PJ, anywhere a brotha' can score a higher quality version of this?

  • ¡Esto es espectacular!

  • tienes toda la razon, que pena que n se hizo la pelicula. Tenia buena pinta

  • Oh my god... The Incal story, in my opinion, could only benefit from the addition of motion. The comics are great, but the ideas displayed are hindered by static panels. This trailer looks great. The look is captured PERFECTLY!!

  • I'm an italian fan of Moebius, and "The Incal" is an amazing story. Too bad they didn't complete this work...

  • Such an incredibly good comic & story it's a real shame this production never got to meet the public... (appearently)

    peace from sweden

  • The animation is pure beauty. The music is so 80s it makes my pancreas twitch.

  • This looks so awesome! I wish they would complete it....

  • It was done in the early 80's. Saddly animation like this no longer exists. I can only imagine a live action version could be done now. It looks as though they got far into the story. Too bad it never got released.

  • what you see here is basicly all that got animated. this trailer was constructed to atract investors. and i personally believe that since the technological progression within cg is beginning to reach a point of redundancy and the popularity of traditional 2-D animation in east -asia and amongst teenagers worldwide we might see a revival of animation of this quality. maybe one day somebody will animate The incal.

  • A la mierda todo!! en suicide avenue!!

  • This looks AWESOME.

  • I wish "The Air Tight Garage" could be a movie. Best thing "MOEBIUS" ever did.

  • i wish they did anything by moebius. anything would be just fine... but my personal favorite would be arzach. and not some story, just the random early stuff

  • did you watch the arzak series on youtube ?? its very good but in spanish

  • i did see some, however knowledge spanish is a bit... well... non-existant. it looks quite awesome but i get frustrated by not getteing it.

  • OMFG, how old is this? Is all hope of an animated feature dead?

THIS is the HEAVY METAL movie we should have had, not that weak anthology offering nor the FAKK2 POS.

  • im not agree, the first heavy metal movie was awesome (FAKK2 SUCKS).

On the other hand INCAL, ARZACH, and the METABARONS (another masterpiece of jodorowski), should have their own movie.

  • The first HM movie suffered from taking a bunch of unrelated stories and having the Locnar from "Den" link them all. It had no place in stories like "Captain Sterrn" or "So Beautiful and So Dangerous" -- and for that matter "So Beautiful" was completely gutted from its original form and made into a stupid, pointless short piece.

Despite your obvious appreciation for "The Incal", I really have to question your standards of "awesome".

  • What i mean, is that the first HM movie was fun to see, it had a great soundtrack and many respected artist from the comic world like Juan gimenez

  • don't get me wrong here, i love the first heavy metal and all it stood for. but it was a typical american interpretation of Metal hurlant. most artist that contributed to metal hurland tried to trancend the the clichés of the comicbook genre and make it real art. then in america they where like: "holy shit, look at this comic here! it has tits and violence! we love tits and violence! we should make this into a movie about tits and violence!" thus becoming what metal hurlant tried to Trancend

  • You're right about that, Thescarydutchman, and about the only segment that I did like is the bird and warrior woman only for the fact that I liked the concept of it, science fiction being my fave genre but otherwise Heavy Metal the animation is just garbage.

  • but to me it is garbage in the same way that barbarella and the rocky horror picture show are garbage. an awesome form of garbage. Bad cinema FTW!

  • Thescarydutchman, I think you should take a look at Richard Corben's student animation of Neverware. that he made in the late mid 1960s. It's amazing. I just found that out two days ago. It definitely beats the segment in Heavy Metal. I am not a fan of Heavy Metal as it was conceived. Extremely low.

  • Awesome! thanks for sharing that info. as art i would agree it definitly beats the segment in heavy metal, but something about the cheesyness of heavymetal puts a smile on my face everytime i see it. it is low entertainment. it surely is. but sometimes i just need fix of undiluted popculture. heavy metal gets that job done

  • one of the best sci-fi creations of all times..simply amazing!

  • This story was originally going to be a movie. Jodorowsky couldn't get the money to produce it so he made a comic.

  • while it is sad that the incal never got made, there is something to be said for leaving a work in its original state. the story works wonders as a graphic work and may have lost something in its translation to the big screen

  • I am reading through before Incal and kater Incal - more than 700 pages of genius !!! Lucky enough to have it (was published in my country 2003 to 2007). Anyone with interest in comics MUST read it

  • Moebius. I could view any work by him and be fascinated by his evolved vision. Even the doodles while on the phone..

  • realmente una obra maestra

  • who the hell rates this a 1 star??? I so wish this had been released!

  • Thank you. Moebius is my god.

  • Watching this again, crazy how Peter Chung some of it looks.

  • Pascal Blais???

Who/what is that? The whole community desperately needs to see this! Was it really never real leased? why not?? there is money in it...

  • can any1 tell me any site where i can download incal, metabaron, techno priest?

  • I love the INCAL !!

  • I LOVE MOEBIUS

  • "It was never finished."

    !?

    it is not too late

    please - earth needs this

  • every scene looks exactly they did in the comic!

  • Woah woah woah!!!

Great production quality-thats a lot of work there...-this would've ruled!!!

Second part seems to be "Internal Transfer"...

  • this is the meaning of life

  • Such a pity...

If Incal would've been finished, I'm sure it'd be an an instant cult favorite.

  • I only have spanish and french versions (originals versions) of the comics, and for the people searching for the movies of the Incal & Arzach , there isn`t any, were only "proyects" at that time.

  • This is based on the comics, the`re kind of old (70`s), you can dowload them from the net, l`ìncal and The Cast of the Metabarons, are linked stories, you should cheke`m out, i have plenty of jodorowsky`s comics if anyone`s interest

  • The writer is the Chilean Alejandro Jodorowski and Moebious the drAWING GENIOUS

    just AMAZING

  • woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaau

  • if only, IF ONLY the Incal had been finished!

thanks to the library i read some of those comics when i was way too young to understand half of it (7 or something), but absolutely i loved them! then later, also thanks to the library, i read it all again...

    Jodorowsky/Moebius: killer combination!

  • When was this? Was this ever released? Moebius is fucking awesome and modern film makers and video game designers continue to rip him off shamelessly.

  • The animation of this sadly lacks the sweeping cinematic mastery of Moebius's comics.

  • were theses films ever released on some format

  • ja...the incal wash `the dark side of the moon´¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Hot DAMN!!

  • Great video! didnt know moebius tried to shoot l'incal! i really hope that "la caste des metabarons", the greatest comics ever, is gonna be a movie sometimes! Pure genius

  • Oh my.. Look what I find when I look for "Incal" in youtube :)

It's a shame this animated movie project was never finished (though Incal is such a dark and complex comic that I understand why).

But, watching this makes me hope an animation serie of the Incal trilogy (Before the Incal, the Incal, After the Incal) will be made and broadcasted one day...

  • Dont knew that y Movie of Incal & Arzach is available.

Nice, I love Girauds Work and Art

  • take a look at the moebius redux documentary if you like his work.

  • :D I didn't expect anything to come up when I searched for Incal - I loved the comics, shame this never made it onto TV/cinema. Jodorowsky's Dune would have been sweet too - maybe metabarons will get a shot?

  • oh my! i've just read the incal for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it. the animation looks incredible and faithful, too bad it wasn't finished.

  • We need to bring this type of stuff back!

  • THat's crazy I never heard of an Incal movie in production. It's a crime it wasn't finished! And now I guess it never will, seeing as how the time for cartoons with this vibe (fantastic planet, light years etc...) has dissapeared. Man that vibe! It'll never exist again!

  • neat...

  • @_@ can't believe this exists!! shame it never got finished/released... is there any more of it out there? Looks pretty amazing..

  • Genial aporte!

  • does anyone know if the music track from the Incal trailer is particualr to the trailer or is it a track that is generally available? it s an awesome track - just like the Incal.

  • Gracias por esta bella pieza de historia del comic.

  • The bit at the end with the blue guy is from Internal Transfer. A bunch of storyboards from it were published in Caliber's 6-issue "Moebius Comics" series.

That Incal stuff was almost shot-for-shot from the original comics. Crazy!

  • Wow, can imagine these movies are not on imdb. I wish they were completed too. they look crazy cool!

  • Hi,

thanks for uploading, I know the comics pretty good but never saw these trailers.

    Gisbert

  • awesome awesome awesome.why were these films never completed?A damn shame as these both look fantastic.

  • thank you ... sooo much !!!

    love and light

    tim

  • Wow, I've GOT to get these. Arzach and Incal are still some of my favs, though I'd like to see Druillet's stuff animated also!

  • As far as I know, this is the only footage that exists of both :(

  • @GreenGestalt You have studied the scriptures I see.

  • Estoy llorando sangre, q increible esta presentacion de incal, cambio organos por comics como este

  • :O no tenia idea que existia esto! y me considero un fan de el incal! me pondre a investigar mas sobre este asunto, gracias por compartir este video =)
