yeah i think the s-1 switch was standard on those years of the american series strats. I have the exact same one and it has it. I've had it for 3 years now and I still love it great guitar and havent had any problems out of it

it has the S1 switching which isnt available on the new HSS standards.. but this is a 2006..I think the S-! switching was standard on them that year..not sure..

How are the tuners, do they keep in tune after long bends for long periods of time, like maybe through a 10-15 min song?

@Mhossey1 Yup, all stock, it has 2 Tex Mex single coils and a Diamond back humbucker... this guitar rips..it's a 2006 American HSS Strat with S-1 switching.. the tuners are great, it stays in tune no problem..I bend a lot as well :)
