well dude can you help with this: my laptop is very slow ever since my cousin dumped soda on it but it works perfectly fine the only deference is its really slow O-o my graphics card is a intel plug and play monitor (at least thats the setting i have) and most of my software is up to date but its still all slow and as i use it it slowly gets faster but it takes forever can you help?

@crazymn321fan It's probably a problem with your system 32 file, It usually gets corrupted when any electrical interference occurs, if you delete it your computer should be fine.

yes, it probably is not feasible to change the cpu, but if possible, add some ram...256mb of RAM is a bottle neck for data transfer

@brian50g i was still able to transfer probably terabytes of data topping at around 30 mb/s from one external hard drive to another (my computer was oftenly used to transfer "movies" and other such data to many other people since I have such a large collection xD) while I browsed YouTube at the same time and listenned to some music. I was still able to play CS 1.6 and run a LAN server off that computer...

@brian50g id like to add that installing a new processor is often a hastle, you can always upgrade the ram as there is usually one additional slot for the ram. also remember to get the right type too.

%temp% is to delete temp files. And Ccleaner to remove unneeded files.

What i do is delete stuff from my startup folder, disable unneeded services, keep the folders clean, adv systemcare, ccleaner, and defraggler with a classic xp theme. Keeps my computer running like new!

The best you can do if that can't work is get more ram. 1gb is like the minimum for any computing and interneting and gaming, etc. I still have 256mb!

@alunkpunk Higher resolutions for any game would lag the pc if it's slow. There is a bunch of video settings to use. So try the lowest and work your way up

@rany615 Chances are you either have a crap processor or you have a ton of crap runnin at the same time. If I had 1GB of RAM, my PC would be a lot faster. 2GB is the minimum for any PC in my book. 3GB is really good. Anymore that that, you'll need a 64-bit version of Windows XP/Vista/windfows 7 to use 4GB and so on!
