yeah that wasn't great, the zombie would have thrown itself all over the children and i don't think it would care about the chick with the axe ... that could have been done better
@bunkman64 The Walking Dead takes place in an alternate timeline where Romero never popularized the genre and gave the word "zombie" its current meaning.
@NotTheLaw Exactly where is that stated? Romero didnt give the word "zombie" it's current meaning. The word "zombie" has been used in Haiti for centuries to describe the undead.
On an episode of the tie-in interview show Talking Dead, creator Robert Kirkman stated that in the universe of the TV show, Romero's Night of the Living Dead was never created, and there was never a boom of zombie pop culture like in our world. This is why the word "walker" is more commonly used, as none of the characters have any knowledge of the concept of "zombies" as we think of them. Prior to Romero zombie was used to refer to the undead, yes. But he removed the heavy voodoo connotation.
i totally thought, as demonstrated in the episode in the first season where they cover themselves with guts, that walkers could easily smell humans especially when they are that close to them, just saying
Wow the kids smart enough to hide under the table and shut thier traps, but arnt smart enough to check if thier mother is alive in a car accident...SMH
im just waiting for, in one of the actual episodes, that while someone is hiding under something while a herd of walkers is going by one trips and sees the person. they can barely walk anyway how has this not happened yet?!?! im only up to season2 ep.2 watching online, so dont harass me if it does happen >:D
There are some people who are insinuating that the US would be better off during an outbreak because a larger portion of our population carries guns. Whoop de freaking doo. Guns aren't really practical in terms of silence.
A big play in the zombies' favor is the ignorance of people. And denial. No one wants to assume the worst has happened- most people in the beginning with assume the attacks are murder or people just gone crazy. So I doubt we'll be able to kill off the zombies quickly
The closet in the SAME room as the zombie. Best hiding place ever. I mean seriously why not just spread peanut butter on yourself for the zombie and stick your arm in its mouth.
@jaymvelez Who cares? It's a 6 part online mini-series. All you have to do is sit through it this one time, so why even waste the time on the little things?
(1/6) Episode opens with Glenn revealing the presence of the walkers to the rest of the group, who promptly proceed to freak out. Maggie becomes angry with Glenn for not keeping the secret and ruins his hat in retribution. Dale gives Glenn his trademark hat as a replacement. Maggie later makes a plea to Hershel for the group to stay. She and Glenn also have an argument about the walkers, after which they eventually admit their feelings, kiss and make up.
(2/6) Rick and Hershel argue, with Hershel demanding the group leave within a week. Rick uses the my-wife-is-pregnant card, but Hershel's not persuaded. Shane also wants the group to get the hell out of there because of the walkers in the barn, but Rick uses the same excuse to cool him down. However, Shane then becomes convinced that Lori's baby is his.
(3/6) Dale takes off with Shane's guns to hide them in the swamp. Shane tracks him down and demands he give the guns back. Dale points his rifle at him and threatens to shoot. However, he backs down at the last moment, since he has no wish to become like Shane: he reveals that he knows Shane shot Otis and lied about what really happened. Shane heads back to the farm with the guns.
(4/6) Hershel has Rick help him and Jimmy try to fish some walkers out of a nearby pit of quicksand and lead them into the barn with snare poles. He says the group can stay on the farm if they agree not to kill the walkers. They arrive at the farm about the same time Shane emerges from the swamp and hands out guns to other members of the group.
(5/6) Shane sees the snared walkers and goes berserk. He yells at Rick and Hershel as they guide the walkers towards the barn, with the rest of the group and people in the farm looking on. He pulls his sidearm and unloads it in the chest of one of the walkers, demanding to know "Could someone who's alive just take that? Why is it still coming?" Hershel has no answer.
(6/6) He finishes off the walker with a headshot, grabs a nearby pickaxe and breaks open the barn door. Walkers pour out, T-Dog, Daryl, Shane, Glenn, and Andrea form a line and open fire. Once the dust clears, one more walker emerges. Sophia. Rick finally steps up next to the others, pulls his six-shooter and kills Sophia with a shot to the head. End episode.

A lot of noise remember the whole city is in chaos, day one of outbreak, so that would explain why there are no walkers attacking them due to the noises, a lot of human prey running around and so on. When Rick comes out of coma the city is dead silent and walkers are very hungry.
@SokatoaStudios ok um hears a guess. mayb this takes place during the START of the zombie apocalypse, so not as many would be around, as they old dude said in the last 1, the cvc WAS working on a cure at the time.
@SokatoaStudios There is still gun shots, yelling, sirens and noise coming from dozens of different directions. It's pulling the walkers all over the place. When things get quieter, then they can focus en mass.

With all those gunshots, not to mention the dog barking, shouldn't a shit ton of walkers be attacking them?

@SokatoaStudios

XxAshar08xX 2 months ago
@SokatoaStudios There is still gun shots, yelling, sirens and noise coming from dozens of different directions. It's pulling the walkers all over the place. When things get quieter, then they can focus en mass.
