steelhead is a anadromous variety of rainbow -lives in ocean or great lakes and spawns in rivers and streams.
around here in the great lakes the domestic rainbows also live in the lake and spawn in the streams making it difficult at times to tell the true steelhead apart from the rainbows.
steelhead are longer streamlined fish and the rainbows are deeper bodied - some slight color differences too although both are silver when first entering streams.some will argue they're the same fish but if you've been fishing long enough you can easily tell the difference
Bill your videos rock! Ive only been hitting western ny tribs for about a year and a half and you guys have been pretty much guiding me through every step of every season. I learn alot from your videos, and they have really pointed me in the direction of some excellent fishing and helped me bring more fish to the net. Keep em coming! Hope to finally be at the same water at the same time one of these days! Take care and Happy Holidays!
i was wondering if you could as mentioned in the comments do a rainy day video of leader/hook/rigs for float and drift fishing these salmonids you guys target. it would be greatly appreciated man, tight lines.
agreed. when you see peoples "amateur" independent fishing videos, it makes you want to do it yourself. Now that i finally got good editing software and a good camera, my videos might start getting a little good :)
Awesome videos guys!!! I always look forward to your new videos and adventures... one question what knot are you using for your leaders??? (maybe on a rainy day you could shoot a knot tying /steelhead set-up video) Hey Bill!!!! STOP, DROP and ROLL MAN, ROLL!!!! I saw ya burning lol Mike put-out ya Pops just don't stomp'em out haha Great videos keep em comin' Fish on Bro

i love your videos, they are all amazing. Wish we had some rain in erie, the creeks are extremly low. it sucks not being able to go get some chrome action.
Good job Bill & Mike. It's nice having the creek all to yourself. Some beautiful fish there too. 5***** Now that the Shroom'n season is done, I've got to get off my lazy butt and get out and fish the river across the street from me. It holds some nice walleye & smallmouth.

You let most of them go. Is that mostly because of limits, conservation, or pollution?
GospelTruth777 2 years ago
mainly conservation - we do keep a few to smoke every year but let most go to be enjoyed by others

how do you cut the wind out of the audio? what kind of camera do you use?
SaginawRiverFishing 2 years ago 3
tough to cut the wind out -got to try change position so the wind don't hit it.
we use a cheap sony mini dv handi cam
ROADSNAKE90ROADSNAKE 2 years ago
