  • Are the costumes used to prevent the cranes from imprinting?

  • @TheNobelium Correct :-)

  • Thanks so much for sharing this and all the other videos! What a wonderful opportunity to view this endangered bird without impacting their lives. I know you are on the verge of getting to Florida. Godspeed!

  • Thanx for the behind the scenes action. Continue on a wing and a prayer to Florida.Thanx for sharing Heather and the OM team!!!!!

  • Thanks VERY much for watching this video clip! YouTube is a great way for us to get the word out. We're down now for the holidays and will reconvene on Dec. 30th - stay tuned...

  • Heather and OM Team...

OMG! How so very cool! The cute little noises those chicks make and how neat they all are! They fly so well, but I understand what you mean, Heather, when you mentioned in the FJ about counting them over and over! I guess the rest of the team knows them well and that they will come back! It keeps you looking though. They are just beautiful! THANKS for sharing this, Heather!

  • What beautiful footage! Thanks for sharing it with us craniacs. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and you'll get some flying days in. I can't wait until you reach Illinois--and mile 231 (hopefully, I'll catch a glimpse).

    Godspeed!

    And bathtubs can fly!

  • Great to see the class of '08. I am hooked. Maybe one day your efforts will allow me to see one in the wild.

  • Great seeing the cranes jumping and flying. Good luck on migration this year.

  • I follow the migration every year and the videos make me smile! Hope you make it to Fl. soon.
