Thanx! No, not naive at all. Actually, it depends on your passport. If you have an American/Euro/Canadian u can go, but be prepared to wait 10-14 hours at the borders getting searched. LONG DAY. If u are Arab w/o a Western passport u can not go there. It is really sad... Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon who were forced out of their homes, are not allowed to ever return back.

Wa 3laikum salaam. No sis sorry this is a common misconception, but actually Dome of the rock is INSIDE masjid al aqsa. Masjid al aqsa is everything inside of the outside walls. Even if you pray in the gardens of masjid al aqsa you still get the same reward that praying in the haram gives you, because the gardens are masjid al aqsa as well. Also, what you are refering to, the lower musela of masjid al aqsa is also featured in this video. :)
