Been thinking about getting a vision maple kit. The bass drum sounds a little off. Is that due to the Pro-Tone stock heads? I figure upgrading the heads will improve the drums sound. I am supposed to get them tomorrow and I would like your input.

My camera does not have quality sound. That is not my personal set. I do have the Vision kit but I have a little muffling in my kick. I am happy with the way my kick sounds. We have these Visions at my church with a Super 3 head on it and that sounds pretty good too. I hope this helps. Please let me know which kit you get and what color too.

First of all, I have to say that you are an amazing drummer. Can't wait for more! But I have one question for you: how do you get that sound from your toms? What heads do you use and so on? I'd really appreciate if you'd answer. Kepp on drumming!!

Thank you so much for your comment !!!! That was not even my kit but I have the same brand. Those were stock heads on that kit. I still have stock heads on my kit as well. The kit is Pearl Visions and they come with Pearl protone heads. I went in before the clinic to tune the drums and it was a very quick process. I did not have to do much at all. I tune the top head for tone and the bottom head is usually a little tighter to control the ring. I hope this helps. Thanks again !!!
