He's absolutely hilarious. The questions, in the main, are pretty stupid so he's having a laugh with them. I don't think he's high, every interview I've seen he's pretty eccentric. I get the impression that because he's so uncomfortable doing this sort of thing, he reacts by getting even more random. But he's really funny with it, kind of like a crazy genius.

I think he could easily come across as an egotisitcal git in the first question. But I think his gift is that music comes so easily to him, he can't understand how it could be difficult for anyone else. It's actually the reverse of egotism - he doesn't actually think he's anyone special. (Am I clutching at straws because I don't want my image of an idol destroyed?!?)

Ryan Adams is by far my favorite artist of all time - I think it is such a shame that he is such a flake in real life. If only his personality came close to the depth of his music. I think that if I heard him talk prior to listening to any of his records I never would have gotten into him.
