  • "uhh, lady or ma'am...whoever you are!!" love it :)

  • At Kent State not too long after this performance ,four students were murdered by the National Guard. Now watch it again.

  • Wow. Even back then, Godwin's law was in effect.

  • I heard him give this same speech, including the question by the woman in the audience, as a clip on a series of videos from The David Frost Show we've been watching in class. That's why I looked it up on the Internet for more information. But it was slightly different and was at a Vietnam War rally in Washington D.C., not Kent State. I guess it was a way to get the question asked or maybe it was to add controversy. Funny though.

  • What a RUDE bitch. Old ignorant hag.

  • was that sarah palin in her youth???....

  • @ShyeesTongue Actually the woman is known as a "shill". She was a plant used by Gregory at many of his shows where there were large audiences. That's why he had such an elegant answer prepared and they would do this regularly. She was also Gregory's manager during this time and wrote a book around the mid-80's. In the book she reprinted an interview where she stated she supported everything Gregory said but also thought the audiences were pretty gullible because sometimes it was too obvious.

  • @Gnillob802 She also worked for many black comics trying to break away from the "Chitlin' Circuit" including Nipsey Russell, "Moms" Mabley, Flip Wilson, Godfrey Cambridge. The Chitlin Circuit were comedy/music clubs for black audiences. She was white with contacts who usually didn't book black comics but were open to it. She was actually playing with fire doing this. Dick Gregory's daughter in the news so interesting to see this. Odd that there are still people who think she was real.

  • yo, does anyone knows what she is doing now a days , does she have a youtube account, cause id like to ask her how did it feel to get "OWNED" to the fullest extent....

  • @ShyeesTongue So I guess she owned you since you fell for it. Its late but maybe google Dick Gregory manager and book. It might take awhile since it was pre-Internet days and I doubt the book is still in print. Also I think she would pretty old by now if not dead.

  • I'm digressing...but I find I must...

When we go to doctors, they tell us that everything is fine, never mind the illnesses that are incapacitating us, despite everything that we've done correctly to promote our own good health that they don't adknowledge...just shut up and go back to work...and take an antidepressant to deal with the sadness of your slavery...

Doctors break their Hippocratic oath every minute of the day...and they feel no remorse...

  • Knowledge is Power!

  • 3:02 Gives me chills everytime I hear it.

  • Interesting that we refer to Germans who went along with their government as "good Germans" - but in America we refer to similar people as "stupid Americans"

  • that lady press the dislike button LMAO...

  • He owned her. PERIOD.

  • Just found out about this guy. Why? Because he was on Alex Jones yesterday, and he blew my fucking head off. It makes me feel better knowing this man exists.

  • So far ahead of the time!

  • @muddy2 You got that right ...Dick Gregory is no joke.

  • this dude is deep!

  • very funny but true

  • i so much love this man

  • dick gregory is the truth.

but he is black balled from every media outlet. even youtube doesnt have a pretext for any dick gregory videos. but its cool they post it.

  • dick gregory owned that moment . comedy and (social) science. the man. the indie-rock version of chris rock's mainstream breakthrough.

  • Holy smackdown, Batman. That was killer.

  • I think her patriotism led her into a whoopin.

Mr Gregory is not a man to be messed with.

  • @underyourskindvd Yeah, her own deluded sense of patriotism got her in trouble. Some people only want to hear "feelgood" speeches and shield themselves from real problems that would ultimately bring down this nation if they are not spoken of and faced just as they are and find ways to solve them.

  • holy shit. he went off. the remark about the natives was especially powerful. too bad theres not more from this show

  • She wanted to know if he had anything good to say about America... "just one thing!?"

  • 10 stars

  • try his grape fast!

  • HI dick/probally dont remember me.i worked for dr ann and came to your moms house with victor kulv''''' survival into the 21 century I was dr anns art director in 1975

  • She said "Dick Gregory, can't you say one good thing about America today, just one thing"

  • I came across Dick Gregory videos about 2 years ago on youtube.. Ive know about him since I was a small child.. He speaks the true the first time I heard him I was so amazed and couldnt sleep. When I have my children I will make sure that they learn what Ive learned from watching his videos and reading his books.. Dick Gregory is a Genius. The audience of BET should watch learn about him and soaked some of his truth and inspiration in .

  • preach father preach!

  • raw truth

  • GOTDAMN THIS BRUTHAZ DEEP

  • i agree pure genius. Great thinker.

  • Hello Rhythm26, I'm looking for the same album. Dick Gregory speaks the raw truth.

  • Dick gregory is tha best we need more blk leader like him ..1

  • @stlukemusic Why can't it be you? Why can't you be the next great Black leader? To be honest, we don't need any more Black leaders, we need Black people that work to uplift their communities. You don't have to be a leader to do that.
