Fast, but what's she's doing is deceptively simple. For the first row, knit the first stitch, then purl the second, knit the third, purl the fourth, and so on.
On the second row, start out with the opposite stitch you started off with before, so if you knitted the first stitch in the first row, purl the first stitch in the second row.
