best video so far, Im not sure about the power washer it seems as it could cause water to get into an area that you didnt intend it to get into. Also i see ppl using that after spray protectant. i know its an option however doesnt that after time cause the same grime build up that caused you to clean it in the first place
This is probably the best video I've seen on this subject. A lot of the others i see never mention to cover up the alternator which would probably be the only part you should be concerned if getting it wet.
For anything electrical that you have concerns about you can always cover those items with a plastic bag for example. You will find most newer vehicles tend to be very well protected against the elements these days and will usually have no problems. If you are able to blow out or dry the engine of some sort by all means do so. Alternatively allow the engine to run for a short period to dry off if required.
@CarCareProducts can you tell me does the water will have effect on electrical part of the engine? because i have opel corsa c and i am a little skeptic about putting water on the engine :) so can you tell me what i can use to clean the engine but not to use water? i mean i will spray the engine with the cleaning spray and what to use to take the spray off after 10 min(afcourse some alternative of water).
hi guys. i have a 93 e36 with a lot of connections under the hood, not to mention the fuse box. would doing this damage anything? and is the alternator the only thing i need to cover?
