  • how stupid is the question about ice... lol I was on this ship when it was owned by tallink superfast. sailing between germany and finland. there is often ice in winter near finland so this ships were made for it. anyways I liked it small ferry compared to other baltic sea ones though.

  • It did run well in Ice, but still has yet to run through the worst that the Cabot staight has. Anyways assuming it will continue to run well well in Ice, that is about the only thing the ship does well. This thing is an utter piece of crap. As a Seafarer myself I hear about how Engineers are frustrated given the constant problems in the Engine room. Next time we should build the ships ourselfs here in Canada or in Asia

  • I dont know what you are doing there... but here the same ships still on tour (two) are having no problems at all... this one over there had over years no problems. what happend? and the same models are running in grece, no problems... whats up there?

  • Well not every product in a reliable line will work as planned. Perhaps the ship is a bad apple of the bunch. This may explain why a ship that is relatively new was taken out of service and put up for sale. On our part Marine Atlantic clearly did not pick the right ferry for the route as Euro trucks are different then here in North America.Trailers get hung up on the ramp when loading and as such an trucks or trailers are only allowed on the lower vehicle deck - even then there is still problems

  • well the reason was definately not that one. the reason for tallink to lease (not selling) the ship was: three ships that were in operation on the germany finland route were too much for the requierements at the time. this one was picked cause it is slightly different then the other ships here. the videorooms are on ours here down in the cardeckhight. on the atlatic vision they are on the cabin decks. and the atlatic vision offers a little more cabins! that was the reason for pickting this ship.

  • that with the trailers is sure possible. we have here strict limitiations in size cause of the streets. but I guess this case was known when she was leased? the ship type of atlantic vison is called here: Ro-Pax ferry. RollOnRollOff Cargo with passangers... it was made for trailers. while others here were made für car use called "Cruiseferry".

  • I just love how she showed up on April Fools Day..

  • I love how when in arrivied it was my brithday and i was on it
