i think the idea of "exchanging shot" is a silly thing to bring up. that was not the case in WWI at any point

I like trying out new mods and I'm constantly installing/uninstalling them for different game experiences. It's really quite easy once you get into the groove and I do recommend trying some out. I do not enjoy the vanilla version of this game as much mostly do to the small unit sizes which equal small armies that don't feel "epic".

It's a mod and it replicates WWI battles so it automatically puts the units in skirmisher formation.

about bigger platoons, there's 2 explanations

1- he is using a beta version of WW1 mod, which changes platoon size to the double of vanilla game ultra

2- if u not using ww1 mod, open ur preferences, script of the game and change ur unit multiplier to 2, save and make the file read only
