And look at Rey Mysterio- he's a superstar and he's not a big guy. There will always be fans who appreciate great wrestliing, regardless of the wrestler's size. But remember to develop your mic skills and nurture your charisma- maybe take some acting classes to set yourself apart. That stuff is just as important as in ring ability. Good luck!

@rtfuhj Slight variant. He puts his other arm on the back of the neck forcing the head forward onto the other arm while the curves of the arm apply pressure to the arteries. Not sure if it would work out in a legit fight, but the psychology behind it is amazing if a wrestler wanted to try to get it over properly.

@rtfuhj Thanks. It makes wrestling (esp. in today's low sense version) more entertaining to look at how the moves work even if it is within the confines of wrestling psychology. Helps suspend disbelief (and we need all the help we can in doing that these days.) I think from a choke stand point it would likely work in a fight, but I've never seen a guy do that variation in a free fight or grappling match up. Would be very interesting to see that though.

@rtfuhj I am actually less pained by WWE and TNA than I am Japan. The sports entertainment garbage in Japan is enough to turn my stomach. It's a long way from the days of Fujinami, Inoki, Kobayashi, and Misawa. Noah is about the only promotion left today that doesn't do sports entertainment garbage over there. Those that do make a mockery out of professional wrestling and helped kill the sport in Japan.

@rtfuhj TNA would easily outrun WWE today if they just had solid, logical booking. Their pay-per-views used to be head and shoulders above WWE and their house shows couldn't be touched. It was simply a matter of making the TV show worth watching. If they could just get that down and start running extended angles and putting more wrestling on in those two hours and hitting the right targets with their booking TNA would be the best company in the States right now. It's just sad they are so off.
