Hart Jessup was probably the most "challenging" actor to cast. Jeff Phillips, Sean Leonard, Leonard Stabb (The Best Hart), Marshall Hilliard, and Frank Grillo.
Oh, I'm sorry about that I confused this clip with another. It took a couple of months before they started to "Gaslight" him. Marshall Hilliard #4 was playing Hart at the time and Frank Grillo Hart #5, and he was the one who helped Dinah.
Nowadays, they would have Dinah be a raving cartoon, Roger would be played by an actor 20 years younger than Michael Zaslow, and every single scene would take place in a Beacon hotel room. Oy, how this show has changed...
I just started getting into the Guiding Light via Podcast---I used to watch it with my grandmother when I spent summers with her. I remember Roger Thorpe!!! When is this video from? Is that the same actress who plays Dinah today?
No! Dinah is Wendy Moniz, she was AWESOME! The Dinah now is Gina Tognoni, and she is very different, but still a great Dinah! This video was from sometime in the 90s. Roger Thorpe (Michael Zaslow) was a wonderful, irreplaceable actor. He passed away in the late 90s from Lou Gehrig's disease. There's a discussion board at mediadomain.com, where we have post discussions about everything, and you can ask questions of other viewers, some who have been watching the show for DECADES!!!
Hi! I'm feemeister on the board, and I've been watching GL since I was 2 (off and on), which is almost 47 years! There's another GREAT clip on here; can't remember the name without seeing it, but it has something to do with Billy and Mindy. I think maybe it was Mindy you are not my daughter--something like that! Check that out, too, if you can! fee
I forgot Dinah married Roger. That means that she was both Blake's stepmother and stepdaughter at the same time at one point. Weird!

How much longer was it before Dinah and Hart got together and began gaslighting Roger?

Why did you post that in response to my comment? It makes no sense. You didn't even answer the question.

Didn't Dinah murder Hart?

Yes Dinah KILLED Hart. She always got her way too by turning on the guilty waterworks.
