  • Gr8 job Huckster!! I'm so glad to run across ppl speaking the TRUTH instead of man-made traditions. God is "Just", but not cruel. I am so thankful He showed me the truth and used scripture to do it. So much of what Jesus said when He spoke of Gehenna was quotes from the OT. Like Isa 66:24 for just one example. The bible is very symbolic. We have to look at how scripture is used throughout the bible to come to the clear understanding as to what is actually meant.

  • How loud is he going to scream when he dies and realizes he was wrong and beleived the doctrines of devils????????

  • God loves the Elect, all people aren't God's children, one must be adopted into God's family. If all roads lead to God ,then Jesus' death was in vain just as Paul said.

  • @CBALLEN Jesus may be sneaking people into the Kingdom that you are not ready or willing to accept.

  • @huckster271 God saves who He chooses, but we have been told not all are chosen,Many are called but few are CHOSEN.The Rich man is an example given by Jesus of Hell and it was not just a parable all some like to say,Jesus named names, meaning if it did not happen as Jesus said,it would be a lie and Jesus doesn't lie.

  • @CBALLEN I feel for folks like you

  • @huckster271 AND I FOR FOLKS LIKE YOU.It's a terrible thing being deceived, but God has chosen that you be that way for some reason.

  • @CBALLEN On what scriptural authority is the Greek word Gehenna, literally ‘the valley of the sons of Hinnom’ and the city garbage dump in the time of Christ, translated as ‘hell’? Jesus said gehenna 11 times but never spoke of the hell you believe in. You are deceived by traditions of men, bad translations, and a heart that would believe in a God that would acually say I have already chosen a few and the rest are chosen for me to torture for eternity.

  • @huckster271 Do you claim that Jesus was a liar and we should believe you instead?

  • @CBALLEN I see you have chosen to believe what you have been told rather than study to show yourself approved....its you that creates the everlasting lie. Could you please explain why none of the twelve New Testament references to Gehenna mention physical torment of any kind? If Gehenna is the word which describes the place of eternal physical torment, isn't this a bit odd?

  • @huckster271 When you teach the doctrine of eternal torment, are you honest in instructing your hearers that Hades and Gehenna and Sheol are two very different things although all three are translated as ‘hell’ in the King James Bible?

  • @huckster271 Do you redact the parts of the Bible that you don't like or agree with or do you just tear those pages out?

  • @CBALLEN When you quote Jesus’ words that ‘the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched’ (Mark 9) in reference to hell, do you also make clear that Jesus was quoting Isaiah 66:24, where in that passage the fire and worms feed on dead bodies and not immortal souls for all eternity?

I think it is you that must be tearing pages out.

  • @CBALLEN Rev 14: 10-11 When you use this verse in support of eternal torment, do you make clear that the warning is directed toward a specific group of people at a specific time? Does these verses say that the torment of these goes on forever, or that the ‘smoke’ of this torment arises forever? Wouldn’t there be a difference? If not, why? Does the smoke from the destruction of mystical, symbolical Babylon (Rev 19:3) literally rise up forever and ever also?

  • @huckster271 In reference to the ‘lake of fire’, why is it that what is said of the Devil, the Beast, and the False Prophet, ‘shall be tormented day and night forever and ever’, is not said of mankind in general? Are you careful to not apply this language where the Bible does not?

  • @huckster271 Throughout the book of Revelation symbols are explained in a consistent manner; fine linen IS the righteousness of the saints, the candlesticks ARE the churches, the ten horns ARE ten kings. Why is it that when we are told ‘the lake of fire IS the second death’ this logic is reversed to mean ‘the second death IS the lake of fire’?

  • @huckster271 Can you please provide one verse of scripture which states that Jesus died to save mankind from hell?

Could you please provide one verse of scripture which states that ‘weeping and gnashing of teeth’ takes place in hell? Can you please provide one verse of scripture which states that ‘weeping and gnashing of teeth’ is an eternal condition for the unsaved? You watch one of my videos and decide I am headed for your hell ...typical christian.... maker of atheist.

  • @huckster271 You forget that Jesus told of the rich man being in Hell and torment,I know that this is true,of course the lake of fire is different, but there are people at this time in Hell waiting for the judgement.

  • @CBALLEN

I believe Hell is a grand figment of the human imagination. It is wish fulfillment in the Freudian sense. It is a horror story that tickles your morbid imagination. From Madam Trousseau’s House of Horrors, to Edgar Allen Poe, to Stephen King, there is something in the human psyche that loves a ghost story. This all appeals to the fears that comes from your ego, not the love that comes from God .

  • The idea of Hell began in a cave and moved to a cathedral. It is the idea of a simple and barbaric mind, but this idea appeals so strongly to the fear-based human psyche that we have found creative ways over the many years to rationalize, justify, and intellectualize it to the satisfaction of succeeding generations and translations of the word of God prove this out. Get back to the original message of God if your wicked heart will allow. Mans heart is wicked above all things. Jer 17:9

  • @huckster271 Jesus has a barbaric mind?WOW!

  • @CBALLEN you know I did not say that....you must not be the age your channel page says you are. Exodus 20:16 "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour." You just lied against me to make yourself look good.

  • @huckster271 Why don't you come right out and say that you hate the true Jesus of the Bible, you've already called Him simple minded and Barbaric? He said Hell is such a terrible place that if your hand or eye causes you to sin,cut it off and pluck it out,if Hell was Just a figment of GOD'S imagination,oh wait, you don't believe Jesus is God or Jesus' imagination, then why do you claim to be a Christian?Do you worship liars or crazy people?

  • @CBALLEN Exodus 20:16 "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour." Please Jesus was talking to the nation of Israel in the first century and told them its better to cut it off or pluck it out than it would be to be thrown into gehenna...1.3 million of the very people he gave that warning to were cast into that dump, dead, to burn and be eaten by worms and the foul of the air. You step over the line when you judge me in this way.

  • @CBALLEN Jesus is the son of God...God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

  • @CBALLEN The Rich man clearly went to Hades which you teach is not the final abode of the wicked but a temporary condition. How is it that this temporary condition is preached as if it is an eternal one? Is this honest? Hades must be emptied so the dead may be judged (Rev 20). Are these facts made clear to your hearers when you attempt to use Luke 16 to teach the doctrine of eternal torment?

  • @huckster271 Both the lost and saved will be raised in imperishable bodies,so how can you destroy one?

  • @CBALLEN Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in gehenna, again talking to those from the nation of Israel. .....So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

  • @CBALLEN Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. I knew the bible spoke of this topic...go figure. Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward , for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished,, neither have they any more a portion forever in any thing that is done under the sun

  • @CBALLEN At the second coming, the Lord will call, and we will be changed in a moment, and will answer Him:

Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it."

  • @CBALLEN Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being [soul]." So when we die, the reverse of creation takes place, where our breath goes back to God. .....Isaiah 8.20 To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

  • @CBALLEN Adam and Eve were mortal but had access to the tree of life. When Adam sinned, he and Eve were barred from the Garden of Eden and the tree of life. From that moment on: Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

No, the undying, immortal soul is not mentioned in the Bible. The word "immortal" is found only once in the Bible, and it is in reference to God 1 Timothy 1:17

  • @CBALLEN Romans 2:7. In this text the Christian is exhorted to “seek” for immortality. Why should he seek for it if he already possesses it? “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.” Rom. 6:23. Why would we need this gift if we already had undying souls?

1 Corinthians 15:53. when we shall receive immortality. “at the last trump.”Then “this mortal must put on immortality.” Why should Paul speak of our putting on immortality at a future date if we already possess it?

  • @CBALLEN 1 Timothy 6:16. Here we learn that God “only hath immortality.” This final text settles the matter as conclusively as words could possibly do, and explains fully why we are exhorted to “seek” immortality, and why we are told that immortality is something that is to be “put on” “at the last trump.”

  • @CBALLEN We read in John 5:26 that the “Father hath life in himself,” and that He hath “given to the Son to have life in Himself.” But nowhere do we read that God gave to human beings to have life in themselves. That is why the Bible never speaks of man as immortal. Immortality is a gift given to those that keep Gods commandments.

  • @huckster271 What do you think resurrection means,it means to rise bodily.

  • @CBALLEN after reading my comments if you want to argue...then argue with the word.... I give scriptures and you give me your opinions and condem. move on please.

  • If you think you have been attacked you are unprepared, flat out wrong, or just weak. You are supposed to be able to defend apologetically. also, your vids call out Christians. You ACTUALLY did that in another vid. I've watched them, dont do that unless your ready for a response. We shouldnt be talking, this isnt goin anywhere. I'll stick with the preacher down by the tracks. Nice day!

  • If you dont want comments, you shouldnt put up these kinds of vids. Should I have posted on your "a challenge for all" vid?? if not, you are being double minded and not to be trusted. Haa, I went from being Christian to pagan real quick there didnt I.. Thats exactly what I thought.

  • there is a big difference between speaking your mind about your beliefs and attacking by saying things like "you are not a Christian" and "Careful you dont make yourself a small "g" God." these are not your beliefs but attacks on me personally, thus my statements above.

  • Im sry, I didnt know what kinda hornets nest I was getting into. I reviewed your vids and Im sure you will admit, you are not a Christian. Ive been down this road before, its like beating my head against the wall with ultimately no result. I'm sure you will agree also that we worship 2 totally different Gods. If this is the case, note that only one of us can be right. If your right, no problems. If Im right, theres big problems.

  • You are sure? You have no idea about my love for God and his word. Your studity here says volumes. I would appreaciate you spreading your pagan beliefs elsewhere. I have been patient enough with you and hope you gain some knowledge in the near future.

    Peace

  • Our price for sin is greater than we will ever know in this life, making hell just. Hell is just, because God is that righteous. Not by our stds. You must understand, you are de-glorifying God by trying to put a human handle on Him.

  • Well then you are correct I suppose. Unless this scripture is taken out of context. Are you saying the soul will die for eternity in hell? If not, does hell exist?

If not, Why did Jesus talk more about the dangers of hell than the glories of heaven? Careful you dont make yourself a small "g" God. I hear you presuming, and saying "seems to me". God is more rightous than we will ever presume in this short life. Our sin against Him is also greater than we will ever know in this life.

  • We normally don't think of people having their physical limbs at that time. This is not an argument, but just the realization that we don't think in terms of some people being in heaven with missing eyes and limbs, and some in hell with all of theirs. As William Robert West said in his excellent work on the nature of man, No one that I know of believes that the `soul' shall `enter into life,' which he or she says is in heaven, with a hand of that soul in hell.

  • The next passage is Mt. 5.29-30, where Jesus used Gehenna twice when he said: And if thy right eye causeth thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body go into hell (Gehenna--SGD). And if thy right hand causeth thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body go into hell (Gehenna--SGD).

  • In their Old Testament background, Gehenna meant a place of burning, a valley where rebellious Jews had been slaughtered before and would be again if they didn't repent, as Malachi, John the Baptist, and Jesus urged them to do. Jesus didn't have to say what Gehenna was, as it was a well-known place to the people of that area, but his teaching was at least consistent with the national judgment announced by Malachi and John the Baptist.

  • Gehenna, the word had never occurred in the Greek Old Testament, the Septuagint. When we read the word hell, all kinds of sermon outlines, illustrations, and ideas come to the fore of our minds. None of these came to the minds of Jesus' listeners, for they had never heard the word before in inspired speech. It is very significant that the word did not occur even once in the Septuagint, quoted by Jesus and his apostles.

  • In Mt. 5.21-22, Jesus used Gehenna for the first time in inspired speech: Ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment, and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire (Gehenna--SGD).

  • Mt. 3.11-12: I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire: whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing-floor; and he will gather his wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.

  • God does not send anyone to Hell. People choose Hell by rejecting Him.

If God is Life, Hell is Death. If God is Light, Hell is Darkness. If God is Freedom, Hell is Slavery. Everyone will be in the presence of God. They that done good will perceive Him, The Light as a Blessing... they that have done bad as a curse.

    God Bless!

  • good points, only you seem to be indicateing an immortal soul exist for everyone and that goes against many scriptures. The soul is MORTAL BY NATURE, IMMORTAL BY GRACE. The Christian Church borrowed ideas from pagan philosophy over the course of several centuries after the death of the apostles. These concepts gradually overshadowed Bible teaching and the belief of the early Church. Under Plato the concept of the "immortal soul" was fully developed.

  • You are correct in that I believe in the immortality of the soul. I believe its clear in Scripture. If God made man into a Living soul then man cannot seize to exist. Also our God is the God of the Living not of the dead. That Plato said something doesn't make it wrong. Socrates said that God is One was he wrong? I believe that the Light, Christ Jesus, enlightens everyone (John 1:9) and all Truth comes from Him.

    May God Bless you Always!

  • P.S.: I do not think that this doctrine "immortality of the soul" according to the will of God (He made it thus and without Him it can't be) is a subject that should divide Christians so I will not be arguing this subject with you further.

    God Bless!

  • Ezekiel 18:4" Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die. "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." Hebrews 2:14,15.

  • Where in scripture does it say that my soul will die? Please defend your comment. Believe it or not, you WILL live forever, this body will die, but your soul will be alive eternally...

Only scripture please. thats what counts..Mans opinion is nil

  • man does not possess a soul; he is a soul. And God formed man of the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being (soul) (Gen. 2:7). The word soul appears four hundred and fifty times in the KJ version of the Old Testament. It is translated from the Hebrew word nephesh, which all the lexicons render as animal life or living being. In the OT the word soul is used in reference to the whole person.

  • In the New Testament there are over fifty occurrences of the word soul, a translation of the Greek word psyche, which connotes living persons with conscious being. When Luke wrote that two hundred and three score and six souls were in the ship with Paul (Acts 27:37), he was referring to people.

  • Paul wrote that only God has immortality (1 Tim. 6:16). 1 Corinthians 15:53, 54 where it is stated: This mortal shall put on immortality. Clearly Paul teaches that in this life man is mortal, but in the resurrection those who are the children of God will put on immortality.

  • Since God alone is immortal, the only way for anyone else to have immortality is for it to be bestowed. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This golden text says it all, that eternal life is for the believers, and all others are to perish.

  • sorry, but whats your point. Where is your scriptural proof that my soul will die.

OR..proof that the soul will die(cease to exist) You must be a Adventist, correct?

  • ezek 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. ezek 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

  • Good points!

    Cool echo effect!

Modern and mid-evil hell myths are a tragic lie built to torment the minds of humans.

    blessings, - Byron

  • How many in the pagan church will wail when they realize the horrors they've attributed to our heavenly Father but even in that He forgives them. I love your sane videos. I feel blessed to know God is truely love.

  • Great stuff huckster. 5*

  • That was excellent!

  • It's silly to think there is not a hell, the Bible says there is,I pray each night that it may remain empty, but there is just no way men could oversee the consequents of there trangressions,What if a science-teacher by doing his job ,destroys faith in God and thus denying multitudes eternal salvation!,would it be fair as in Holy for God to just let him perish,Just like mother Theresa for bowing down to a graven image!

  • You are a goose!
