I miss these guys already..been a fan since 01. Going to have listen to them for the rest of my life...hopefully my kids like them as much as I did Jimi..the Beatles etc....
No Devolucion has turned out to be one of my favorite Thursday albums, which wasn't the case when it came out. Thats how you know when an album is great.
I'm quite surprised on the number of dislikes on this song. But looking at it, I guess this song came out right before the new CD and some fans didn't like their slightly different sound. I never really listened to this band but I just got this CD and it's very good. I love this song.
@makemebad35 I was wondering about that too, but I guess its just that some fans of things hate when things change, even if the changed product ends up being great like this is.
This reminds me of city by the light divided. They need to either go back to their roots or reinvent themselves enough to not sound anything like this overproduced bullshit. I can believe these guys even made Wind Up or Jet Black New Year or Tomorrow I'll Be You. Ive been holding on to a thread of hope that these guys would make another GREAT CD, but it looks like it's just not to be.
@SeanLynnJones I totally agree, I give up on this band entirely. At least this sounds like they are trying to write songs again and not just mashing shitty ideas together for lack of inspiration (ie: everything after War All The Time).
@SeanLynnJones This CD has done very well and getting lots of praise. So I don't think they really need to go back to anything if this CD is highly rated by a lot people.
So.. I feel like too many people are just shrugging their shoulders at this song. I don't know if it's because this is a little softer than the rest of Thursday's songs. Either way, this song is hands down my favorite on their new album. I hadn't heard it until I saw them live with TBS last Friday in Portland and this song absolutely blew me away. They presented it at face value, and I was (and still am) so impressed.
Listened to this song and then "War All the Time" afterwards. I must say I really enjoy this song better. Vocals are much prettier and I'm really digging the shoegaze sound.
this album is so eerily relating to my life right now. It's bugging me out a little bit. But it is an amazing album. There is still hope for New Jersey
Love the atmospheric-feel to this song. Has a "Circuits of Fever" feel to it and to quote Ron Burgundy, "And in no way is that depressing." Great album.
While listening to the new songs, I was going 'meh' at first. But with listening to these songs over and over again, I really like them. I think No Devolucion will be an album that grows on you.
@cyress6 you really are not a fan, havent you noticed the difference in sound in all the albums ? this is thursday 10 years after full collapse its them grown up to where they want to be
what has been released doesnt hold a candle to shit on this record ...period cause every track is different and beautiful ...got a chance to hear some shit at a show...it was crack cocaine.....ill never be happier when i get this album
@jazistardust atreyu, dftones pink floyd ? ............. no offense but i felt vomit rise my throat , i like deftones and pinky, but this is more like interpol, the cure, depech mode,
although, common existence was better than was given credit for, maybe, in terms of the thursday catalog. everyone is obsessed with the differences in their discog, maybe because the band themselves discuss it so often. I don't know, full collapse sounds timeless. War all the time has some parts that sound dated these days. ACBTLD made up for WATT's dryness but wasn't as focused artistically. Some tracks are stellar, tho. the end of this song is spectacular
I dunno ... ambient doesn't have to be just instrumental stuff like Explosions or Mono I think Envy has a lot of ambient stuff in their music too, it doesnt really fit as a genre its more like a calming soft way the song makes you feel. This song definatley has that especially at the start.
Woe, Is Me. Asking Alexandria. The Color Morale. ISMFOF. Funeral For A Friend. And now Thursday! I swear this week is going to go down in history for amazing music releases.
Seeing Thursday in 2 days time for the first and last time. Can't wait!!

@SeanLynnJones Lol, that CD doesn't get any praise.

@SeanLynnJones really? i thought city was by far their least appealing cd, and this cd is by far their most focused and best effort.
