  • The only thing I don't like is the drums. They sound sloppy and ill-fitting. Too much reverb as well. Everything else is really good.

  • this is quite epic

  • absolutely classics rock 10 star brother.......

  • Wow... don't u recognize some of the peeps in this band. I know I know... *I guess we all looked alike back then lol

  • Very inspirational!

  • Damn this is pretty good shit! I'm SHOCKED that I've never even heard of these guys.

  • i don't know, but this has got to be the earliest cover of War Pigs I've ever heard. I like it. gotta love the name of the band

  • For anyone that actually does some research or wants it...

"Suck were a rock band who were part of South Africa's first wave of hard rock titled, the "Big Heavies." The group lasted eight months between 1970 to 1971 in which they recorded their lone LP, Time to Suck. It was later released in America in 2009] They were also one of the earliest groups to cover Black Sabbath.

  • They said this is bad ist not bad!

  • this is electrohouse/industrial/emocore

  • Suck Rocks!

  • i like the first four albums of black sabbath, then it turned very commercial.

  • very fine adaptation of BS

  • BETTER THAN BLACK SABBATH!

  • @Shilohmx1 this is good however unlike the original, it sounds dated and sloppy...Black Sabbath was the first band to effectively usher in the modern kick drum tone (the powerful thump mixed with a tight slap)- this version has none of that....Butler's bassline in the original solo was very tight, heavy and at times played at speeds akin to speeding drum rolls, this bassist has the "if it sounds muddy then it must be groovy" thing going on and is playing the bass parts in their simplest forms

  • @MightySaturn5

Thanks for educating us, you know a lot about music & more than the these guys from 1970. Let me share with you: rock.co.za/files/timetosuck.html. I hope you realise these guys were directly involved in a music generation that defined things you now know in the music industry at various levels. Feel free to do some research into the band members, the producers and the various acts & careers that were born from this group of Sothern Africa artists. You gonna eat crow. Just saying

  • @Shilohmx1 - Uhm....you're making possibly the worst joke in the world, right? It's a little offensive actually.

  • Best Black Sabbath cover EVER !!!!

  • They were the first "underground" (the term heavy metal hadn't been invented yet) rock band i saw - I was 13. Played Darras Centre (South Africa's first Pick 'n Pay venue and second shopping centre) in Kensington, Johannesburg ZA 1970. Larry Amos is still one of the best guitarists.

  • SUCK SUCKS!

  • The guitarist Steve Gil Gilroy owns a micro brewery down the road from us called Gilroys - awesome bevvy and what a fella...

  • @mandyjarman where is this :D?

  • Like Truth and Janey, USA but more grind

  • Does anyone else hear the similarity to "Nights in White Satin"? Black Sabbath and The Moody Blues, both Brum greats. Seriously, listen to the bass (especially in the beginning) and organ! yeah

  • Suck that's a great name for band!

  • Definitely a "trippin" version of black sabbaths otherwise straight forward ear melting classic.

  • where can you downlaod or get any suck

  • This is great...gonna see if I can get this CD.

  • Wow!

  • Perfect :O

  • 1st ever to cover sabbath

  • They must of been quite ahead of the posse down there below the equator to be doing this and the King Crimson track in 1970.

  • not bad, really miss that little hi hat thing though.
