  • Are you're shins supposed to be, more or less, perpendicular to the floor (meaning they aren't supposed to lean over the bar)?

  • are you supposed to feel a tightness on your lower back when you do this?

  • yes the lower back is often the weakest link in the posterior chain (hams, glutes, back) targeted by the DL

  • sweet! I bend my knees way more than you do... I'll have to work on that

  • thx but how much you bend your knees depends a lot on ones body type and proportions (ie arm and leg and trunk lengths) to get into the power position...some need to bend more than others to obtain optimal position
