The purpose of the drug war is to get drugs off the street, but drugs are more available than ever before. In my small town you can now buy heroin and cocaine, this is something that was unimaginable 30 years ago.
After decades & 100's of billions $, there is'nt a single victory that the Govt. can claim, they have lost every battle, every one of them.
The drug war is a general failure and a complete disaster.

She was left in a cage all day out in the sun in one of these outdoor Arizona jails, denied water or medical attention, and died from dehydration and heat exposure. Her terrible crime? Prostitution. the war on drugs is a totalitarian policy, just as socialism and fascism were. it has the goal of establishing a drug free paradise, analogous to the socialist goal of establishing a communist paradise. while both sound very good on paper, both ideologies use extremely questionable means to impose this utopia, as ideologists of both sides believe that the end justifies the means. both resulted in a lot of deaths and massive violations of civil liberties and human rights. it's a shame...

A wrong doing is a transgression or anything that directly harms others, focus on this not people doing drugs.
In holland a 90% reduction in new hard drug addicts was noted in 1st year of decriminalisation + less people take drugs in hiolland, propoganda creates addicts as all advice is seen as lies.

@uuumdm well I have relatives, friends, and just known people that crossed illegaly some in the 60s,70s,80s,90s,2000, and 2010 most of them (like 9 out of 10) are honest HARD WORKING people my neighbors came illegaly over 25 years ago and are now legal status and now adays they own the most and a very prosperous business!!!! so you hillbilly go f---k your sister before you open mouth!!!
