I see there is no reasonable conversation that we can have here, so let me just say that you obviously prefer to live in a cave like a cave man because you have no idea how industry works. Also, do you know why it took so long to fix the oil leak? because it was too far down in the ocean, they had to build the oil rig so far out into the ocean because "so called" environmentalist lobbied and made it impossible for them to be close to shore where they could have fixed the leak that day.

You lack any valid argument, especially since you begin with an attempt to insult me. And the rich have maintained their tax cuts, refusing to give in one single bit. Where are the jobs? Hm? If "job creators" still have wildly low taxes, why are they not creating jobs for the poor? And your contention that I have "given up" on the "American Dream," is ridiculous. You know me not, and you certainly don't have a clue what the American Dream is. Hint: it is NOT privileging old rich dudes.

I read a quote, it said "There is nothing more stupid than a poor Republican. I can understand the rich ones, they want to protect what they've got, but the poor ones are like animals caught in a leg hold trap. You try to get them out, but they bite and snarl at you because they are too stupid to realize you are trying to help them." I think it's very fitting.

The poor Republicans are all convinced that if the government, liberals, immigrants, abortionists, Jews, Muslims, the Hollywood elite, gays, secularists, evolutionists, and environmentalists would only get out of their way, they'd get to join the 1%. It's all someone else's fault that their not super rich and famous.

@dudev Who is the last poor person that provided you with a job? That's what I thought. You act like somebody is preventing you from going out and pursuing a great lifestyle. When the only one holding any of you envious, blame everybody else liberals back is yourselves because you gave up on the American dreaam and choose not to pursue it. I drive a BMW and check my stock portfolio every morning. I live in one of the wealthiest area in the US. And I'm proud to be a liberal. The top 1% hide behind talking points and chant "class warfare", when what they're really saying is that they don't want to pay their FAIR share of taxes. I've know plenty of rich people and their children, and that's exactly what the conservative ones are thinking. THEY FEEL ENTITLED.

Who is the last poor person to dump millions of gallons of crude oil in the Gulf? Or to pollute an entire river basin after knocking the top of a mountain in order extract tons of coal? Or to accept huge government subsidies to build a stadium? Or to profit from wasr in the Middle East over oil? The rich ought to pay higher taxes for the simple reason that THEY USE MORE RESOURCES to obtain their wealth.
