ok people...honestly? shut up. Stop going fucking hitler on people from the looks of it she loves her cats and takes good care of them probably. Yeah declawing is wrong but like she said...she didnt do it..her parents did. And you dont even know the reason they did it...calm down for gods sake. The cat is alive isnt he? hes loved too. Thats all that matters.
Just the point ! There is **NO** medical reason to have any cat "De-Clawed" !
It's pure barbarism, tendons get ripped out, etc. If they did it simply to protect their precious furniture, they don't deserve to have ANY Cat, much less a MC !
Too lazy to give him a "manicure" every 11 days to 2 weeks ? Same Difference !
Had 3 MC's & two Norwegian Forest cats, have two lg. scratching posts - - - No Problems !
@MaineShag55 Oh boy i hit a nerve on you didnt i??? Some of you people are way too emotional about this whole subject and you go grazy about animal abuse and all. Calm down! You people dont give half this much concern to the poor or when you see a human suffering. It was wrong to declaw...but it already happened. You going on about how wrong it is is not going to change anything now so save your energy for something else.
She made video's about her cats she does love very much, then I guess there's a good reason for it. please guys I dont know any of you (neither the uploader) but stop making such comments it's a change that cannot be undone! (forgive me for my bad english)
wow declawing realy sucks, what if someone cut off your arms and said: ''well he is throwing the garbage all ower the place'' ... acept the cat the way it is
Shame on you for mutilating your cat by declawing him. Painful surgery should ALWAYS be the last option. Cats can easily be trained to scratch elsewhere, and their muscles deteriorate if they can't scratch.
With that said, you have beautiful cats and you obviously love them. I have a Maine Coon too. If only you had looked into other options before cutting the fingers off your cat. :(
I had a 6 year old calico cat named ♥Callie♥ but she died in 2006 on Valentine's day which couldn't have been a better day because I loved her with all my heart. (I was 10 or 11 and in 4th grade.) She was my favorite kitty and now I have a 1 year old calico kitten named Pixie and I ♥ her lots but she's not as cute and snuggly as Callie was. I live in Wisconsin too! In West Allis. I gave this video 5 stars just for you having a calico cat named Callie!
I have two cats, a maincoon named Ginger and a calico named Cali. Except my Maincoon does not enjoy getting cuttles unless it is very early in the morning. She acts more like a dog than anything. Then my Calico is very cuddly and is extreemly curious. She jumps up in my food cabbinet and sleeps there all day. Are your cats like that? Ive always wondered if the same type of breed act the same.
Sam is a NICE cat: you could have trained this affectionate guy to use a scratching post. Being long haired, he needs a regular brushing. Make sure you scratch him, too.
@jmpinkie I never had a problem with cats and furnature. A nice chunck of cedar 4" x 4" does the trick nicely. Just get down there with them and play like youare scratching the wood and they will join in.
@jmpinkie Reading that makes me speechless. You had him declawed? Shame on you! I can't believe one is selfish enough to mutilate a cat in favor of some shitty furniture.
@schl0tte Geez guys...please stop yelling at me about mutilating my poor cat! It was my parents' decision to declaw him. I'm sorry!!!!!! I feel bad for him, too!

He's a fabulous cat but why doesn't he have any claws.
syrren 3 years ago 2
He's an indoor cat, so we decided to declaw him. Much better for the furniture! I do hate it though when he tries to scratch himself...poor boy.

@jmpinkie Ah well, those cats are very big its his claws removed or him!! cause else it will cost ways to much money spending on furniture :S

@jmpinkie Declawing?! Barbaric. As old as this clip is, this procedure should be outlawed worldwide.
