  • Watched his show every week.........it was the best!

  • I used to watch him late Saturday afternoons on WPIX TV in NY in the 60s. A class act all the way. R.I.P. Mr. Cole.

  • rip clay cole. i was shocked to read this morning that he had passed away over the weekend. i've been workng on a personal project about wpix, and always remember seeing his show saturday nights before chiller theatre came on. i happened to be looking at this clip a few weeks ago. he will be missed.

  • RIP Clay Cole.

  • Clay Cole passed away this Saturday 12/18/2010

I spoke to him Friday. We had a good conversation. I forgot what it was we were laughing about. We did that often.

When I heard the reports coming in, I could not believe it. I called Clay hoping he would answer the phone. Then I found out it was true.

I'm going to miss him. I already do.

Mr. Clay Cole, Thank you for being my friend.

  • I appeared with Clay in "Flower Drun Song" at the Gateway Playhouse, New York State.

He was a wonderful performer and a sweet and generous friend. He will be missed.

  • At times like this I really, really hope I'm wrong. But as of yet unconfirmed news reports came in this morning (18th of December 2010) that Clay Cole had passed away suddenly at the age of 71. If that is the case, then that would be a major tragedy for rock and roll.

  • @MikeBlitzMag - Sadly, the news is correct. Clay apparently passed from a sudden heart attack. He was just weeks from his 73rd birthday (New Year's Day). Clay was one of the greats. Let's get him into the Rock Hall where he belongs! R.I.P. Clay.

  • I can't stand "Cousin Brucie" after he made an anti-gay "joke" on the air. he needs a better wig. Tired, and he still expects singers to cater to him. Glad this piece of shit is largely forgotten history

  • The singing is not bad..just please Mr.Morrow..don't sing that cockamamy jingle about Palisades Amusement Park again!(LOL!).

  • Saw Clay yesterday at Charles Rosenay's BeaExpo. The Q&A session and reunion between Clay and Sid Bernstein great. Rccketryman, You're right-Clay does belong in thr R&R Hall of Fame. For that matter, what about Sid Bernstein?

  • Seeing Clay Cole do a show at Palisades Park when I was about 12 or 13 probably led me down the path of becoming a major rock'n'roll freak. Bless you Clay. And I spent many years listening to Cousin Brucie as well. This is a major flashback.

  • All aspects of the induction process are handled by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. It can be reached at 1290 Avenue of the Americas, Second Floor, New York, NY 10104. The Foundation does not have e-mail available.

  • Also, Clay needs to be indoctrinated into the rock and roll hall of fame. Lets do our part and write them!

  • I absolutely loved the Clay Cole Show. It defined me at the time, and I was only about 10 years old!!

  • I worked for Clay in 1985. We saw Bruce all the time.

Clay was a great guy. Whats his son Jessee up to. last time i saw them was in 1987 when we did the Play Bridge with Omar video. guess ill have to post some of our productins. thanks for the memories.

  • Wow, Cousin Bruce and Clay Cole. What memories. Thanks, Rocketryman.

  • Yeah he had a great show ,its a shame all the shows were erased by the network to save tape...sigh

  • I'm sorry. I can't get by that piece of lettuce on Uncle Brucie's head.

  • Brucie and Cole... great!

  • Clay Cole! I remember the Clay COle Show. The stones were on live doing Painted Black. That was awesome! Thanks for posting!
