you could feed the bird and let it gradually find it's own way into the wild. if it needs you for food or if it is injured and can't care for itself it will probably return if it is able, and you could feed it and let it come and go- like a 'outside cat' type of situation.
@RX7Drifter90 why would we? the pigeon went to a wildlife sanctuary called st tiggywinkles a couple a months ago, the only problem is they said it might fly back!
