  • Omg, they had a perfect pun there & didn't use it- Martini & Rossi, Bacharach. They could've even used the rhyme & been like, "For the Bacharachs, it's always Martini & Rossi on the rocks!" Fail, Martini & Rossi. Fail.

  • Remember this commercial. Catchy and Angie is so hot!

  • like they drink that swill...

  • How cool.

  • So classy. So beautiful.

  • Thanks for posting!!! Brings me back to a simple time in life!!!!

  • PLEASE TELL ME HOW LONG BURT AND ANGIE WERE MARRIED???

  • Classy act! I wish I was there to share a drink with these two lovely people.

  • I love this, I remember it from when I was a kid, always wanted to see it again, so thank you so much for posting it. :-)

  • Burt sure didn't do this for the money or spotlight....probably did it as a favor to Angie who was riding the pinnacle of her popularity at that time.

  • @nrthdude1 Hey dude, you seem to have forgotten Anne Francis as Honey West!! And that was 60s!

  • Geez.....did they pay Burt with an eight-ball or what!??!

  • @brufe (Burt said "Yes!" ... to the Eight ball.)

  • This doesn't last long enough

  • ...yeah!

  • Lost GOLD! That jingle has been playing my mind since it first aired on TV in the mid-seventies!

  • Poor Burt Backache, he really sold out in this one. I need a drink!

  • @nrthdude1 yes after a drinks ,,,, they drunks... then legal ending of a marriage....sad .. burt too busy of his musics with dionne w. and angie too with police woman epic.... that was early 70's.... like both memories ..

  • Yes!!!! Thanks so much for posting this, I haven't seen this since I was a kid, but have been thinking about it!!! :-)

  • Actually, Anne Francis, was tv's first female private dick, with the short lived series, Honey West, and years before Police Woman.

  • Wow, I remember this commercial. They were definantly one of the most quintessential glam couples of the era.

  • i started drinking only martini because of burt...

  • Angie Dickinson could suck the sorrow off a recent widow...

  • classy advert!

  • gad........shades of childhood......

  • RIGHT!

  • I LOVE the way her eyes follow his face while he's singing. I know what she is feeling for him. I cant believe it when people say that they were divorced here.

  • they were separated...they didn't divorce till 1980.

  • There was another ad featuring her saying the same thing. i was just a kid but i rememeber it. they showed it all the time it seems. "Martini & ross on the rocks, say yes, YES". I'm suprised its not here, it was very popular.

  • The words to the other commercial were "Yes, Yes, I love to say yes... Martini and Rossi on the rocks... saaaay yeeesss.

  • I say YES to your pussy Angie! :)

  • Did I say "dress" ... I mean outfit.

  • What a cute commercial...I have the photo shot of Angie in that dress form the commercial...this is circa 1976...AFTER they'd separated btw.

  • I remember this so well. About that time Burt and Angie were divorcing.

  • Hi, I have forever been looking for this add in a TV adds compilation or some sort of format . May I ask where you obtained this or if I could have a copy I would gladly pay you for your trouble. I always though they looked just stunning and Angie in that white dress.....

  • I too have been looking for this "Say Yes" Martini & Rossi TV commercial from the 1970's for years. Are there more radio or TV ads that Bacharach made with this exact jingle?

  • burt has a fine voice .. he may not be the strongest singer , but he knows exactly how to embellish his songs--he is a master.... thanks for posting!!

  • Why do people expect great composers to be great singers as well? I've always thought that what he lacked in voice he more than made up with feeling. His version of 'A House is not a Home' always breaks my heart.

  • Bacharach has written some wonderful songs, though he simply could not sing. He is, however, such a good musician (and with a not-horrible speaking voice) that I believe he could have learned to sing at least decently, had he found a good voice teacher --

  • Love it. What a cute couple. Wish I had been partying with these two back in the early 70's in Hollywood.

  • I thought there was another version of this Bacharach "Say Yes" M&R ad where Burt and Angie are amongst attendees at a black and white party. Burt, how many Say Yes ads did you do?

  • The other add is Angie and Burt and Angie says: When I'm in my red mood" I'm sure there were just the 2 adds. I can't remember I suppose she would have been wearing red?
