  • Great video Carol, nice collection of songs at the end. What would be the population of your town?

  • What a wonderful thing to record,,,such a feeling of community so often missing in Urban America,,,,beautiful to see it is still alive and well in New Zealand. Wonderful and the camera work is excellent. LOOOOVE the bag pipes and overall real community vibrations. Rodney W. Nashville

  • Hi

    Carol...

What a delightful memory of an obviously momentous family gathering for this event. Sweet music, marches, speeches and witnesses all combined for a common cause.

A beautiful unveiling ceremony...possibly the very best-looking,love-filled and well-organized ceremony I have ever been privy to witness.

I especially enjoyed seeing every age group from the very young to the elderly gathered for the occassion...it did my heart good!:)

    Thanks for sharing,Carol.

    Pax,

  • Ranfurly's volunteer radio station Burn 729am held a competition for listeners to name a previously unnamed street in Ranfurly. More than 50 people submitted ideas. The Maniototo comunity board chose its preferred name. 'Hanrahan Lane' and Francie Morrow and Mike Dowling won the competition. The official unveiling and historical display attracted more than 40 Hanrahan descendants from throughout New Zealand.

  • Looks like fun, what was the occasion?
