I don't see much difference in the specs between this guitar model and the 3550MZ...

@SstalkerS Well, maple fretboard makes a huge difference in sound... I think that is quite a big difference. And also, the 3550MZ's got a pickguard, which makes a big difference when it comes to replace your pickups... With the pickguards, you have the problem that you have to remove it, and the strings, too, to make any change on the pickups, being it changing them or just re-soldering the cables... But on the other hand, maybe you'll have a headache or two if you buy pickups without thinking..

@SstalkerS .. on that detail, like I did with my Ibanez RGA321, which doesn't have a pickguard, and the Seymour Duncan pickups I bought for it, which didn't fit in the holes! I had to smooth the metalic edges from them so they would fit in the holes!

Needless to say that IF THEY didn't fit in the holes, I would have to put them in my ass... As a punishment for being such an imbecile motherfucker. xD!

Uuuughh, why use a 6505? Its the lamest sounding amp out there and makes this awesome guitar sound pants. Use a marshall or something else thats designed for players who want to hear the full tonal spectrum of their instrument, and not just the "chugchugchug" crowd.

It's good that nevada bother to do this sort of demo...but please, I beg, no more generic "behive stack" distortion thrashing. How about dialling in a nice mid-rangey singing lead tone, more towards Brian May. Also, go through the clean tones. I use a first series MTM2 (the passive V7/V8 one, not the new one) for general covers/rock and it is FANTASTIC! In fact, it blows most of the other Ibanezi (<---???) away!

@MCLOVIN50 We close mic'd the Peavey 6505 and it has no built in reverb so we added just a little from a pedal but didn't want to drown the sound in reverb so it is a little dry with this amp I'm afraid. We'll try another on the next run..... cheers for the feedback. xx

i own this guitar and i would say i try it in a lot of amp and it sound a lil bit dry clean it sound very good but with distrotion you nned some other effects .

but it stay a great guitar!

not being funny ,,but i would watch your buttons on your jacket scratching the back of the guitars ,i took my guitar into a shop to be set up ,they had shirts with plastic buttons witch scratched the hell out of the back of my guitar ,if people are spending that much money on a guitar they want to scratch it them selves not!! or bye one with them.! .keep up the awesome vids i think they are excellent and cool thanks.
