First Time on the BlackBerry Storm Keyboard

I'm seeing a just released blackberry soft keyboard named "Lightning Keyboard". That makes Storm comparable with iPhone from keyboard perspective. The product is on the OTTAFONE website and there is a YouTube too watch?v=HL8yPBdzNBE

When cellphones came out with texting.. more and more developers made new phones capable of doing so to suit peoples preferences. Same as when web browsing, GPS, camera's etc. Touchscreen is a new "feature" and companies are adjusting there phone lines to adjust to their consumer needs and likings. It's like saying car's can't have power windows, or locks, as features are added to things, other companies will follow.

I do not understand why everything has to be compared to an iPhone! For someone like me I've been with Telus forever, and enjoy having Blackberry PIN messaging, and would like to own a "touchscreen" phone so the Storm is my solution. Not every touchscreen phone is meant to beat the iPhone.. And everyone doesn't necessarily want the iPhone, not saying it's a bad phone I actually like it very much, but getting it would mean having to change companies, plans, etc.

Yo! I had a blackberry for 3 years or plus!!! I cannot tell a lie. It was a nice phone. However, (hold on to your seats), it was under Nextel. Receiving email was awesome! It was easier to type on than MY new phone (iPhone)!!! However, you get use to it.... Each time I type on the iphone, it corrected my mistakes.

I had both phones but not under Verizon. Nextel was known to be the worse but it rocked! Rim was ok but no software at all.. It was business oriented.

i have at least 5 friends with iPhones that live by me, my self included, and we all can type really fast on the iPhone's touch screen. I guess it varies person to person, but seriously, most iPhone users can type quite fast on it.

It does have that option. Go to "Options" -> "Screen/Keyboard", and you'll see it.

What does it lack? Wi-Fi support. Probably because Verizon does not support UMA/GAN. Yet Wi-Fi is becoming important for creating additional access points in places such as warehouses or high rise buildings, where cell phone signals can become too weak.

The Storm has a higher resolution screen than the iphone. The iphone resolution is 480x320 and the Storm resolution is 480x360. iphone clone? The only way these 2 phones are similar is that they both use touch and apple was by no means the first to use touch on their phone.
