  • What is the name of the zhongruan soloist? And what is the name of the composition and composer?

  • reminiscence of yun nan #3

    Composer: Liu Xing 刘星

    Solo-ist: Shen Ting 申婷

  • Thank you; by #3 do you mean that this is the third movement of a three-movement piece?

  • Yes. There are 3 of them...But the 3rd is the nicest.

    #1: watch?v=C6b8K1Sv-nE

#2: watch?v=D3jN4EyyRmc ( this isnt the full video i think , I dont know this movement well. sorry.)

  • Thank you; is the composer from Taiwan?

  • nope he was born in mainland China in 1962.

  • Please see my midi version of this music in youtube below!

    v=TtPo5lKZZIs

  • i think the balancing problem might be because the mics for the videos are on stage... and the amplification for the solo is in the hall.. and they forgot to put it back into the video... if you listen carefully you can hear the "hall" more in the solo part

  • the medium ruan girl played really well, but i do agree that the orchestra played too loud and don't really blend with the girl's performance.

  • She's good. but the orchestra's way too overpowering.

its a concerto with orchestra accompaniment. not an orchestra work. (or perhaps, the conductor interpreted it too much of his own style[?])

& never assume what the composer is trying express through a composition.

  • the orchestra is playing WAY TO LOUD. they don't realize that they are suppose to ACCOMPANY. but they play as they are a melody. the soloist, PLAY LOUDER.

  • i guess this is the explosiveness of the song...very nice :)

  • you should research more on the piece and not SUPPOSE what it is.

  • the orchestra is so messy. the soloist technically good. but she seems too tensed which affects the whole song. the orchestra and soloist does not blend together.

  • the zhong luan girl is so intense.....

she is rocking as she plays...

    ROFL!

    but still, i admire her...

for i m also a zhong luan player....

    but juz a noob.....

  • rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl HELLO

  • cool coool. and definitely not FFed

  • Neh, just a haircut will do. Remove the specs too.

It's not FFed by the way.

  • The speed is scary from the starting 160 to 176 in the near ending parts.

  • The soloist is good.

    The conductor is not.... gosh....

    He needs Extreme Makeover

  • The Soloist is good

  • Oriental, occidental, excellent[al]

  • wow, is it just me, or does the conductor seem really young? 0.0

  • there's another vid where he looks darn old with specs

  • This piece Yunnan Huiyi is not as difficult as it seems you know. If you really tried playing it most of the fingerings follow a pattern. It is possible for the recording to be real speed. If it was FFed from 8:55 onwards it probably wasn't much. (Anyway there isn't anything very technical after 8:55 why FF there?)

But still, the performance was excellent. The orchestra's musicality is wonderful too. So is the conductor's hairstyle :p

  • Uh, serious.

It's fast forwarded. Not at this speed, this is beyond a amatuer's level. Even for a professional, at this speed would be dangerous.

  • i disagree. It is real. As i know a few of my seniors can play at that speed. It takes a real pro to be able to play that piece

  • Power. >.<

I'm not really experienced in this type of stuff. Haha.

  • newest discovery.

    i'm wrong...it is FFed

  • How do you know?

  • my pro senior said so. from 8.55 onwards. It was FFed

  • dont know dont act smart la.

  • yaya....

    that's real...

i would love to be able to play like that....
