I just watched Doobies play yesterday, and I was surprised at how good this song is live, compared to on the compilation CD I have. They really brought out the bass and drums, for the better.
Hey thanks for the vid ... I saw the Doobies tonight at PNC arts center in NJ and they played "Nobody" in their set ... it was great to hear it live ... imho, the best group ever !!!
Mate this is special... And given it's the only vid of nobody on youtube, we cant complain. Great effort getting the footage (are you CIA?) I cant believe there are not more people there! I saw them sat night just gone in London Ontario. Jeez they were tight! I really liked Back To The Chateau and cant wait for the album. I wanted a T Shirt but there were no merch stands... go figure! Away, thanks so much for sharing. Love your work. Ray
Gosh, thanks for your kind words. Actually, there were a lot more people there than it appears. The GA area behind the stage was packed. It was the beginning of a long day, and early in the Doobie's set, so reserved seats took some time to fill in. The boys were very well received, the whole place was rocking and grooving. Some of the other vids here on youtube capture that aspect better than mine. Wish I'd taken a video of the dancers on the hill! Can't wait for the Seattle show in Sept!
Right, he's not playing violin on this one. It's pretty much impossible to see on this video, but he plays those acoustic slide guitar fills at about 0:58 and 1:57.
Great! Thanks for sharing this... so so video quality or not, I totally enjoyed it! "Nobody" is one of the greatest of all Doobies songs... straight out of the old Santa Cruz Mountain days when they'd play the Chateau Liberte. This Gorge show was one I really wish I could have seen live. Thanks for giving me a taste of it.
I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it. I'm a huge Doobies fan, and my favorite album is their very first one . . . which many people don't even know exists. You'd be interested to know (if you don't know already) that they played a new song at the Gorge show, "Back To The Chateau," and Pat talked about their days at the Chateau Liberte. It will be on their new album, being produced by Ted Templeman. The Gorge show was sublime. I'm hoping that an audio of the Doobs' set surfaces, they threw down.
Great job! No complaints! A fan is a fan and that´s all. You are a lucky guy. Greetings from Brasil! Excelcior!!!

You kidding me? What a lineup! Man, you don't need to apologize for the quality at all.

It was totally epic.

Thx for posting this great early Doobie song. I don't hear John on violin. Is that correct? Nobody 'with violin' can be seen on the Wolftrap version
