This song is about a boyfriend who always lies to her. When she says "Sometimes you tell the truth, like you're pulling taffy", she is saying  that he always likes to stretch the truth, which is basically lying. I had wondered what it meant, too, and then I asked my mom, and she told me. I hope this helps you!

Wildcat, you have no taste and are brainwashed by what major media decries "fit for consumption". Stay is a good song, but it was written to be just her and a guitar...the band came later. Now, the best on on this album is clearly Hurricane. Her guitar work is amazing and she tells a poignant story of love, loss, and friendship. A close runner-up would have to be sandalwood, just for sheer beauty.
