I know of a financial corporation firing a woman who needed flexible schedule to tend to her child who was fighting a terminal illness and thereby lost what she had for health insurance. A longtime employee and never any issues in performance, she filed FMLA paper work and suddenly she had "performance issues". Her supervisor "documented" these "issues" quickly with much HR help and was fired. The loss of insurance delayed treatment thus threatening the child's health and eventually dying.
Did you do anything to help this man and his family Reed, or did you just jump in to expoit this family and their exceptional circumstance. Did you give them aid, offer them any kind of dignity in their struggle, or did you and your cronies just let that family get thrown to the wolvews making a man choose between his union and his child. As a union memeber, he should have known better, you dont do that. But he could have asked you for a job and you wouldhave given everything you could..bullshit
