Nanni Wan's still a great piece & reflects the true heart of China. Mao was a loyal ally in ww2 & kicked the japs off the mainland. The KMT were truly just savages. When Mao kicked them off the mainland, they murdered 10,000 Taiwanese & forced marshall law upon Taiwan. Chaing Kai Shek's son was sent to germany to be a full fledged nazi (from head to toe). @goodoldrebel8 Thanks for your comments. The KMT bandits gunned down all political prisoners in mainland shortly before they escaped to Taiwan. I personally know nobody of those brave young Chinese who were slaughtered but I always have a lump in my throat every time I read the stories about it. On the contrary, the CCP treated their enemies with respect and dignity, and many KMT soldiers and generals switched side and went on to become people's heroes fighting enemies of China.

Very true. I'm an atypical american in that I didn't buy into western propaganda against China. China's a great country & the KMT need to be held accountable for what they did. If we had a more well thought out policy, we could have had a true ally in Mao & probably avoided the Korean and Vietnam war. If all American are as rich as the top 10% then 2-3 earths are required to support just Americans. If all earth dwellers follow Americans then we need 5-6 earth to sustain us. So far we have only discovered one planet similar to our earth which is about 600 light years away. We have to allow alternative way of life, be caveman, be China man, be noisy man, be whatever.

Chinese fans make such vid & music for many years. The mainstream western media have dedicated last 60 years defaming China and Chinese without any meaningful challenge. China was divided and ruled by the west before 1949 and the country was in de facto ruins, even much small country like Japan thought they could invade China with ease. Chinese was written top to bottom, right to left for centuries until CCP took control of China. It was still the practice outside China till the advent of PCs. Many other languages were also right to left oriented, e.g., Hebrew, Arabic, Hindi, Tamil, Thai, Japanese, and the like. Only the west had languages that are left to right oriented.

I prefer traditional chinese characters. I am not from Taiwan or Hong Kong but Singapore.

I learnt traditional chinese till secondary 2 (1969). The Education Ministry switched to simplified chinese in the middle of that year. I am therefore proficient in both, eventhough I am educated in English. Unlike my Taiwanese friends whio could not understand simplified chinese and PRC friends who could not read traditional chinese.
