  • ATTENTION all Beatles fans,On July 30th, we will be watching the music video hey jude repeatedly all day to boost it's view count up to at the least of 100,000,000 views. You don't even have to listen to it. You can just keep playing the video back to back all the way through without sound. We're doing this to compete with Justin Beibers garbage music videos & to make The Beatles be heard across Youtube. Copy& Paste this across all Beatles videos. Spread the word!

  • @hopop313 this is a song of the Beatles but it's a single so there isn't that music on a album of the Beatles ;)

  • @Whenyoustrange

It's sadly not a beatles song. neither is twist and shout. they were both covered by the beatles and in both cases they were better than the originals. just thought i'd clear that up.

  • @TheArcticBeatle nope twist adn shout was orignal this however was by the swinging blue jeans

  • @countryandpivot "Twist and Shout" is a song written by Phil Medley and Bert Russell." wikipedia

Every Beatle fan knows t'n's isn't a beatle original.

  • @letosvet1 indeed.

  • Is this actually the beatles? I thought someone else did this song. And I remember it being a big hit yet I've never heard this song on any of the the Beatles albums.

  • for goodness sake!!!!!!!!!! I've got the hippy hippy Paul! :)

  • Nice picture of the Beatles with Blackpool Tower in the background, I feel a little less ashamed of the town I was born in lol.

  • pauls voice is just too sexy.

  • @coconutgirl96 yeah,absolutely... when i listen to him,i feel like i am melting inside xD

  • Dear YT founders: please make it easier for seniors to access your most esteemed site. TY, from a senior YT member who was fortunate enough to know what to do, in the beginning.

  • George at 0:39. :D

  • Forty +/- years ago, we were all locked in our own communties and the local DJs. Now, we can click a few times, and listen and watch to any musical group we want, at any time. Now, that is, indeed, a musical quantum leap-step toward progress.

  • Sorry, the best version of this song, is Hippy Hippy Shake's - Beatles seemed to master best their own songs; with some few exceptions; like for instance; Act naturally.....

    ed

  • OH Paulie <33333333333

  • i love hippies

  • it's so fucking sexy when paul screams :)

  • I loveeedd it so much when I was 14.

    (im 19 now)

that what I like about them, you have things like this song and things like the white album oand better.

    lovee them!

  • @Ailinpo I'm 14 and I like the Beatles and their songs and I hope I'll never forget The Beatles;)

    Greetings from Germany

  • 27 people are so midtown! Boo!

  • @bigtwenty1982

27 people know wats rock !!

and its not this shitty band

  • @sweetouth20 Yeah, "this shitty band" is the only reason whatever numetal bullsh*t you listen to exists.

  • @bigtwenty1982

    no its not

    wats wrong with u people

there were other bands before them u know?

they did not do anything they were just another group god !!!!

  • @sweetouth20 Sure, there was music before this and it was great, but the revolutionized what it meant to be Rock and Roll. Also, 80% of the studio effects and recording techniques came from the beatles. They actually invented sounds never heard before and in their short 10 years or so together recorded more songs and sold more records than most bands have in thier entire careers. But yeah I guess they were just another band.

  • @sweetouth20 Seriously? Now I know your messing with me. Its fine to not like the beatles as its not for everyone, but bad vocals? REALLY? Check out "and your bird can sing" "elenor rigby" "Sun King" and tell me those are bad vocals. Riffs: you obviously dont have bass in the speakers cause its ridiculous. You can check out "hey bull dog" "tax man (esp the solo)" and "Drive my car". And Im curious what bands you think have great vocals and great riffs. I gotta hear this.

  • @sweetouth20 Oh, you don't sound jealous at all.

  • @PetCemetaryDude

    jelous of wat?

i just feel bad for the more talented musicians in that time

who alot better than those fags but didn't get the fame they deserved

  • WOO these guys rock! :D and im 14, youd think id listen to death metal xD

  • I wish the song was longer.... I hate it when it ends...

  • @exil7 This is when you actually want the song to loop at the end ;)

  • We all have the right to say what we want about our singers so all of you stop k

Yup it was all about the beatles in the 60' and still is got it .. SHAKE It Hippy !

  • i love tons of music and the one band who i look up to most are the beatles. fab four forever <3 the beatles are one of the bands that i aspire to be like someday \m/

  • Well done boys, my heart belongs to the four of you ;)

  • Just for that, im gonna make my dad buy me the white album. then ill have all the songs! Blissfulness...

  • man, the people at my school woudn't know good music if it slapped them in the face... I talked about this song, and Tim leans over and says "What kind if music do you listen to?" and i said "the good kind". Oh, and if this is an early song (which it clearly is), then why isn't it on the Red album?

  • man, the people at my school woudn't know good music if it slapped them in the face... I talked about this song, and Tim leans over and says "What kind if music do you listen to?" and i said "the good kind".

  • super cool roots rock - check out The Georgia Satellites version if ya want...

I also Love Bad Boy with Lennon shouting the rock & roll

  • Angels in the Outfield.

  • i like the swingin blue jeans one more.

  • @TOXINO14 then why did you look this one up?

  • I have to say (with a lot of humility) that I have never heard this track before. I know the Swinging Blue Jeans did in 1964 (performed it on the first ever TOTP) but I didn't know the Beatles did it. Forgive my ignorance, everyone. All I can say is THIS IS F***ING AMAZING!! WHAT A BRILLIANT TRACK!! IT ROCKS!!

  • thank you

  • 27 people don't have the hippy hippy shake

  • John should have sang this one.

  • what album was this on? i heard it from Men Who Stare At Goats lol and was like "THATS THE BEATLES!?"

  • @brandaddy0 I'm pretty sure its on Live At The BBC....and yea me too...love Men Who Stare At Goats :D.

  • @brandaddy0 the version used in that movie is by the swinging blue jeans. haha love that movie

  • @MrAznPillow

thank you so much! wow, they sound a lot like the beatles.

  • See, everyone complaining about seeing a certain Canadian singers name aren't helping if they want to make his name disappear. The only mentions I've seen of him on this video are people complaining that there's comments about him, yet they keep on making comments complaining about him, which still makes them carry on mentioning him. If you want his name to vanish from these videos, then stop saying his name!

  • is this a cover?

  • why in every musical video I enter do I have to read Justin Beibers name???, fuck off and shut the fuck up I want to hear his name I will enter it into the search g'all!!!

    p.s TUNE!

  • the beatles is the start of rock music !!!!!!

  • Was this a cover?

  • THAT HIPPYHIPPY SHAKE‼‼‼‼‼‼‼‼

  • "Stop acting so fucking queer!"

  • @GODDAMNSASQUATCH where is that from?

  • @AmonCOCO The Men Who Stare At Goats.

  • YEAH ! Lets do the hippy hippy..... Shake !

  • FYI this song is about ODing. Back in the late 50's and early 60's the word "hippy" was slang for 'hypodermic' as in hypodermic needle. The hippy shake was when you had a bit too much!

  • @orjysean Sorry to debunk your 'hypodermic' theory about the word 'hippy' but....well..you're wrong. 'Hip' was a word that meant 'cool' - in the 50s it was 'hep'. So hippie meant someone who was 'hip'. And the word 'shake' refered to a dance...like 'shake rattle and roll'

  • @ajaxsemaphor Right, and "The Hippy Hippy Shake" was first written and recorded in 1959 by Chan Romero. It's not the "Heppy Heppy Shake" is it? No group of people were referred to as "hippies" in 1959.

I don't know what history of American slang you're getting your misinformation from but the word "hippy" was in fact used as slang for "the needle" in 1950's America. This song was famous (or infamous) back then for this reason, well before the Beatles covered it.

  • @orjysean Reminiscing During the jive era of the late 1930s and early 1940s, African-Americans began to use the term hip to mean "sophisticated, fashionable and fully up-to-date".Like the word hipster, the word hippie is jazz slang from the 1940s, and one of the first recorded usages of the word hippie was in a radio show on November 13, 1945, in which Stan Kenton called Harry Gibson "Hippie".

  • I can't stop listening to this ! I just love it when Paul screams.

  • @PhantomKitty957 me too! hahaha fell in love with this song! The Beatles STILL rock!! :D

  • @PhantomKitty957 gigitty

  • @PhantomKitty957 omg i do too!!!! hes so dreamy!

  • @PhantomKitty957 Yeah! Great track, but I think Paul is screaming at the prospect of the sh*t guitar solo coming up from Mr. H!! Ha, ha!!

  • @djBurgundy Yeah- This was obviously George at his earliest. Before he polished his technique. It does sound awful.

  • Is this song in some album?

  • @IarinhaCJBM Yes it's on The Beatles Live at the BBC.

  • :(why won't people just watch the video and shut up. just ignore those people

  • Justin Bieber! What a joke! What a faggot!

  • @1bountifulinc i never thought id see the day that justin bieber was mentioned on the same page, in the same breath even, as the beatles. .thats the bad thing about youtube, eveyone can have an opinion, when some people clearly dont deserve one. No offense to ANY Bieber fans. I want world peace and PLEASE keep comments on Beatles videos ONLY about the beatles! TTYL!! PEACE, LOVE, AND BEATLES!!!!

  • early beatles. nuff said

  • I am 29 and a Beatles fan, and I posted that to see some righteous indignation :-)

  • @sakamoto0789 wow this shows u have NO life you come and type that in JUST to say that wow this proves how immature and ignorant u are I'm soz but you just don't know what REAL music is beaver is just computer and The Beatles didn't have that stuff so NO it's not beaver (:

  • bieber shouldnt be mentioned at all in comparison with the BEATLES..cmon

  • @wcn4500Hey i'm trying to spread the word about my new band 'Mellor'. Heavily influenced by early Beatles and trying to get music in Britain back to it's best, pissing on the bomb fires of xfactor and droney money mad r&b artists. If you would, please check out my tracks on my channel. Much thanks, Mellor.

  • It's really cool that this beatles' cover has so many views. Paul just tears this mother up. My other favorite Paul-goes-nuts songs are Clarabella and his version of Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey Hey.

  • who among the beatles did the vocals on this?

  • @CeeCeeable i hear just paul. he's really good at the screamin rock n roll stuff- especially the early days

  • @jelly1245 thank you!

  • @CeeCeeable

    It's just Paul McCartney

  • @Verbeke7 Thanks!

  • The beatles didn't actualy make this it was this guy in the 50's

  • @MrBeatlelover it's been covered a few times! I think chan romero wrote it but it could've been even before that!

(sorry for the out of context add on message, i have to add it to everything)
