How to record sound from your mic?

If you select "Detect best sound input" it will record sound from your game.

If you select "Use Windows input" it will record sound from your mic, sound from the game will be muted.

I couldn't get FRAPS videos to load in editors such as Sony Vegas, Camtasia, WMM and so on because of a CODEC error.

I Disable ALL antivirus shields (like in Avast Antivirus) and re-install FRAPS and after it's completed, re-enable all antivirus programs. Shields block FRAPS from registering the codec properly which is why you can play the video but not edit it. This simple fix worked for me.

@XPSJOHNXx hey I found out what you have to do.

There should be a folder that you have downloaded everything in.

in that folder is the dll's. All you have to do is put the fraps icon in that folder and play. You should find it in C Drive somewhere at the top of the list of folders should be fraps folder.

@MrGameover000 Ive found an easier way, simply go to your C drive, click on the FRAPS folder, and click on the icon to launch the program in that folder, solved my problem :D

I have made a few videos over 2GB with fraps and tried to upload t hem to Youtube. Even though my channel has been enabled for videos longer than 15 minutes and I go to "Advanced Upload" (which allows for uploads larger than 2GB in size) the upload starts ok, but eventually stops and wont progress any further.

Also, on my desktop the video thumbnail changes to an icon of something and just says "javaw." Still plays fine in Windows Media Player though. Please help.

@SsPersonsS This is probably beacause you are getting low fps when recording and so the game might freeze up and then you most likely are attcked
